Gym #1 - Boulder Badge

The gym leader here is Brock, the Rock type trainer. He uses some strong Rock Type Pokemon, and knows a few dangerous attacks. Watch out, as Rock Types are notoriously hard to beat, as they are very resistant to most attacks. Water type attacks are found to be quite effective though.

and Brock said yes
"OK me and Maria challenge you then"

Geodude got 10 damage

"Get him Maria"' Jin said

"Chardar Scratch!!" She shouted.

It gave 15 damage to Geodude
Geodude used tackle caused 1o damage
Onix used tackle caused 10 damage
"Charmander ember"
Geodude fainted
Only Onix was left

Maria glanced at Chardar who had taken quite a bit of damage. She looked in her backpack, and found a few berries. Maria gave them to her Charmander. It wasn't much but it was enough to keep going. She turned to Jin, "We need to tag team Onix or else we're going to loose." She looked at Chardar, "Double Ember Attack!" She shouted. Onix took a heavy hit but was still standing. Maria's eyes went wide, "That one's strong!"
The Charmander dodged a Rock Throw attack and waited for a command, avoiding another Strength attack.
Maria opened her Pokedex, "Charmander can learn Metal Claw at level Thirteen..." She looked at her Charmander, "I wonder..."
"CHARDAR METAL CLAW!"
Chardar attacked Onix with Metal Claw attack. Onix roared.
"It can't take much more.... Jin another double ember attack?"

"Yea"
and with that the double ember fainted onix

Brock took his Pokeball and pointed it at Onix, "You did great Onix, return!" Onix dissapeared in a flash of red light. He looked at Jin and Maria, "You two did well. You've definatly trained your Charmander well. As promised, here's your Boulder Badges." The gym leader said handing them to Maria and Jin.

"We got our 1st badge and that means we're a head of Harry and that other boy"
they then walked out
"Hey when we were going in you called me limpy" Jin said

[Mariah Wolff]

"You limp, broken leg boy." She told him carrying her Charmander in her arms. Chardar was staring at the Pewter Gym Badge as the sun hit it, making it shine. "I was just kidding around."

"I wonder what your nick name could be", Jin said
As they were walking they were making joking and laughing

Maria smiled when she saw somthing out of the corner of her eye, "Hey, wasn't that Harry?" She asked, looking towards the Museum.

OK, that wasn't a proper battle. Brock is a pretty powerful leader, and you whipped him with Pokemon that are actually weak to him. Try harder next time OK?

Harry entered the gym, wanting to challenge Brock. He walked to the back of the gym, and Brock was stood at the far end of the stadium, the Boulder Stadium.

Harry walked over to him.
"I challenge you to a match! Wanna take me on?" Harry said confidently, hoping Bulbasaur would win.
Brock smiled and nodded. "Bring it!" He said.

Gym #1

Harry released Bulbasau, Brock sent out Geodude.

"Bulbasaur, Vine Whip!" Harry called, and Bulbasaur scored a direct hit. Geodude was really angry. It retaliated with a powerful Tackle attack, followed by a defensive stance, raising it's defence. Harry thought for a moment.
"Bulbasaur, feint a Tackle, then go in with Vine Whip again!"
Bulbasaur pulled it off perfectly, luring Geodude out, then hitting it hard.
It fell to the floor, fainted.
Harry cheered. "Way to go Bulbasaur!" He said, giving her a pat.
Brock sent out Onix.

Harry gasped. Onix was huge!

"OK Bulbasaur, we're gonna win!" Harry shouted. "Vine Whip!"
Bulbasaur sent out the vines, but Onix flicked them away with it's tail, followed by a Tackle Attack, hurting Bulbasaur badly. Onix was so fast! Bulbasaur went in for a Tackle, but Onix knocked her backwards, and finished with a Rock Throw.
Bulbasaur fainted.

Harry groaned, and ran over to where Bulbasaur was lying. He withdrew her.

Harry released Weedle, hoping that Weedle could finish Onix off.

"Weedle, String Shot, then Poison Sting!" Harry said.

But Onix shrugged off the String Shot, and the Poison Sting attack hardly hurt it. Onix tackled Weedle, then used Rock Throw. Weedle fainted.

Harry withdrew Weedle, and managed a smile.

"Thanks for the battle Brock. Your Onix is really powerful. It must take a lot of skill to train one." Harry said, shaking his hand.

Brock smiled and nodded. "Yeah." He said kindly. "Your Bulbasaur is very determined. So is Weedle."

Harry nodded. "Yeah."

Harry turned and left the gym, happy that the battle he had was a good one, and that it had been enjoyable.

OCC: Have you beaten Brock in the game?! He's a pushover...besides Its not my faul Jin beat his geodude so fast...and I was hoping to make it last longer when I posted...

OOC ~ When I beat him with my Charmander in the game it took everything I had, every single one of my Pokemon fainted except for Charmander, who took out the Onix with about 4 hp left.

I guess the geodude was a bit iffy...

Geodude got hit by...
2 embers and a scratch. All NVE.
Onix was even more unrealistic. I could only beat an Onix using Metal Claw, never with scratch and ember.

I'm gonna let you off, but next battle...
please make it a bit more likely?

Harry re-entered the gym, fired up for another battle with Brock. Brock walked over to him.

"You want a re-match?" He said confidently.
Harry nodded fiercely. "Yeah! Bring it!"

The stood opposite each other, at either end of the Boulder Stadium. Harry grabbed a Pokeball. "Go, Bulbasaur!" Ha called, releasing her.

Brock sent out Geodude again.

"Bulbasaur, use vine whip!" Harry called, testing the water.

Bulbasaur caught Geodude on the arm, painfully, with her vines.

Geodude answered immediately with Tackle, hitting Bulbasaur full in the chest.

Harry encouraged Bulbasaur. "Come on, you can beat it!" He said.

Bulbasaur got up. "Use Tackle, then Vine Whip to throw Geodude!" Harry commanded. Bulbasaur obeyed, doing it all perfectly. Geodude fainted.

Harry cheered. "Way to go Bulbasaur!"
Bulbasaur ran back to Harry happily.

Brock sent out Onix, thinking that Onix would easily finish off the Bulbasaur.

Harry withdrew Bulbasaur, and sent out Kakuna.

Brock gasped, he had been expecting Weedle still.

Harry smiled. "OK Kakuna, Harden!" He said.

Kakuna obeyed, making it's Cocoon rock hard.

Barock called out "Onix, Tackle!" Onix smashed Kakuna far across the stadium, but Kakuna was unhurt! The hard cocoon had taken the damage!

Harry smiled. "Kakuna, counter with Poison Sting!"

The Poison Sting caught Onix painfully, but it wasn't that bad.

Onix tried a Rock Throw, but even it's most powerful attack only slightly hurt Kakuna.

Harry pointed at Onix. "Kakuna, use String Shot, aim for it's head!"

Kakuna obeyed. All the practice of it's string shots paid off, as it hit the Onix's head perfectly.

"Now Kakuna, Poison Sting! As powerful as possible!"

Kakuna obeyed again, hitting Onix with loads of Poison Stings. Onix could hardly move, the String Shot was too sticky! It thrashed about, unable to harm Kakuna.

Brock called out attacks, but in vain. Onix suddenly toppled over, fainted.

Harry cheered, and went over to Kakuna. "Great job! You were amazing!"

Brock walked up to Harry and Kakuna after seeing to Onix.

"I really have to hand it to you. You really trained hard to beat me." Brock said, holding out the Boulder Badge.

Harry smiled. "Thanks!" He said, taking the badge happily. He put it on his Trainer Card.

Both trainers shook hands.

Harry withdrew Kakuna, and left the gym.
