Gym #2 - Cascade Badge

"Nevermind" said Gabe
"1 on 1" said Gabe.
"Go Pidgeotto!" said Gabe as he threw the Pokeball in the air.
"Good choice," said Misty.
"Staryu I choose you" said Misty.
"Staryu water gun!"
"Pidgeotto dodge it and use gust on the water"
Pidgeotto gust hit the water and it made a whirlpool
"Keep it up Pidgeotto you're doing great!" said Gabe.
Staryu was caught in the whirlpool.
"Pidgeotto stop the gust" said Gabe.
The whirlpool that Pidgeotto created had stopped.
"Ok, Pidgeotto now is your chance!" said Gabe.
"Use wing attack!"
Pidgeotto's wing had hit staryu and made it go flying in the air.
"Staryu!" cried Misty.
"Return" said Misty
"Great job Pidgeotto" said Gabe.
"Return."
"Hmm....lets see how well you do against my Starmie!" said Misty as she released the Starmie.
"Dang... go Caterpie!" said Gabe.
"Caterpie use string shot!" said Gabe
"Starmie use water gun against it!"
The water gun beat the string shot.
"Caterpie use an even more powerful string shot!" yelled Gabe.
"Starmie water gun!" said Misty
This time the string shot had beaten the water gun.
Starmie was now trapped in a web.
"Ok, Caterpie use tackle!" said Gabe.
Caterpie tackle Starmie.
"Keep it going Caterpie!"
Caterpie tackled Starmie 4 more times.
"Starmie used rapid spin!" said Misty.
Starmie broke out of the web.
"Starmie use water pulse!" said misty.
It had knocked Caterpie down.
"Caterpie!"
Caterpie had started to glow...
it was evolving into a metapod!
"Metapod" said Gabe.
"Metapod use tackle!" said Gabe.
But metapod had forgoten tackle.
"Err...use Harden!" said Gabe
Misty was laughing in the other corner.
"Hahahaha!" she laughed.
"I'll take that thing out in no time!" she said.
"Starmie tackle it!" Starmie charged at Metapod.
Starmie had been defeated as soon as it touch Metapod's hardened body.
"Hahahaha! what happened there Misty?!" said Gabe taunting Misty.
"Grrr....You're worthy of the cascade badge...." said Misty as she handed the cascade badge over to Gabe.
"Oh yeah! I won a cascade badge!" said Gabe.
He kissed Misty
Misty then slapped Gabe
"ouch!" said Gabe.
"Get away from me!" said Misty
Gabe laughed. Then he had gone to the Pokemon Center
"Good luck Barbie" he said.
"I didn't need a bellsprout to win after all huh?" said Gabe

"Wel a bellsprout would have been beter then a metapod. hey loser. I will give you time to go to the center and heal your pokemon and come back to lose to me.

As misty walked out she mumbled something unhearavle.

"Well cause you won I have to wait."

Misty came back"Ready to lose miss stuck up princess?Go Staryu" Her staryu came out

"I will make you eat those words. Go Oddish!" Oddish cae out."Use absorb!"

"Staryu use swift!" The stars hit oddish but oddishs absorb hit staryu and oddish regained the energy it lost

"Poison powder"Purple powders from oddish came towards staryu and poisoned it

"You will pay for that. Water gun!"Staryu water gunned oddish

"Mega drain oddish" The mega drain healed oddish and fainted staryu."1 down and one to go. Return oddish" Barbie returned oddish to the pokeball."Go pikachu!" Pikachu came out looking happy

"Man I might lose.Go starmie. Use rapid spin" Starmie came out and spinning towards pikachu.

"Shock wave!" Theshock wave jolted starmie into the water."Now thundershock the water!" Pikachu used thunder shock on the water. Bright lights came from the pool. Starmie floated to the top of the pool fainted.

"Return starmie. Heres your cascade badge since you won" Misty threw the cascade badge and barbie caught it.

"I wouldnt lose to some loser tom boy. Lets go." Talking to gabe she now headed out.

"Well done Barbie ;D I'm proud of you" said Gabe with a big smile across his face.

[Kano]

Kano walked into the gym. "I am Kano, I seek a gym battle with the 2nd gym leader. Misty." Misty walked out of shadows as the light came on. The was a huge pool for her water pokemon. "Hello, sister." He said to Misty. "Hello, little brother." Said Misty. "Let's begin the battle." Said Kano. "Okay, Staryu! I choose you!" The lttle star pokemon was released and went under water and back up. "Okay, Squirtle, I chosoe you!" The Squirtle came out. "Squirtle! Use watergun! The watergun hit the Staryu. "Staryu! Use watergun back!" The massive amount of water came at Squirtle. "Squirtle! Dodge it!" The Squirtle dodged it. "Now use another Watergun!" The water hit Staryu again. "Okay, Staryu, dodge this next one! Use rapid spin!" The rapid spin hit Squirtle. "Squirtle, now use watergun twice and a tackle!" The 2 watergun shots hit Staryu and the tackle hit Staryu as well, knocking it out. "No! Staryu! Return, Starmie! Your in!" The Starmie came out of the pokeball. "Okay, Starmie! Use Watergun!" The watergun hit Squirtle knocking it out. "Squirtle! Return, Horsea! I choose you!" The Horsea came out. "Horsea use watergun!" The watergun hit the Starmie. "Okay, Starmie, use Rapid Spin!" "Horsea! Dodge it and use watergun!" The small creature dodged the attack and used watergun, "Horsea! Again and again!" The 2 water attacks hit the Starmie. "Starmie! Use Watergun!!!" The water hit the Starmie. "Starmie use rapid spin!" It hit the Horsea. "Come on Horsea stay up and use watergun!" The watergun hit Starmie knocking it out. "Good job, Horsea, return." The Pokeball absorbed Horsea. "Okay, Starmie, you did well. Return" the Pokeball absorbed Starmie. "My badge if you please." "Okay, here yo go brother." Kano grabbed the badge. "Okay, good, a Cascade badge." Kano left the building. And went to Cerulean City. (Moved to Cerulean City)

[Spar]

"Spar Venial of Pewter City hereby challenges Misty of the Cerulean City Gym to a Pokemon battle for the Cascadebadge!"

"I accept! This will be a two on two battle! Choose any Pokemon you like, though I suggest you make use of the pool and use a water type. As you guessed, my strategy is an all out offensive with Water Pokemon!"

Spar wasted little time starting the battle with Misty. Her Staryu was already in the large pool in the Gym and it was his move. He tossed a Pokeball onto the ground.

"Showtime, Nidorino! Use Focus Energy!"

As Nidorino began gathering energy, Staryu dove underwater. From it's platform, Nidorino couldn't see Staryu, but both Nidorino and Spar knew it wouldn't be long before it attacked.

"Staryu, use Rapid Spin!"

Staryu shot out of the water, whirling violently toward Nidorino.

"Nidorino, get ready for impact!"

Nidorino stood it's ground, taking Staryu's attack. It slid back a few feet. It took a lot out of Nidorino, but they couldn't afford to give Staryu the opportunity to dive again. Fortunately, Staryu was poisoned due to Nidorino

"Now, counter with Peck!"

"Dodge it, Staryu, and jump back into the water!"

Staryu managed to evade the attack, diving back into the water. It was feeling the effects of Nidorino's poison and wouldn't last long.

"Ok, Staryu! Rapid Spin out of the water and finish it with Water Gun!"

Misty's plan worked perfectly. Staryu came flying out of the water and before Spar or Nidorino could react, it fired a volley of water. Nidorino was knocked into a far wall. It slumped to the ground before attempting to stand. It couldn't.

"Nidorino is unable to continue."

"Nidorino..."

Spar reached into his jacket for Nidorino's Pokeball and was about to withdraw it before Staryu suddenly fell over as well. The poison had done it's job.

"Staryu is unable to continue. Both trainers, please switch Pokemon."

Misty smirked as both Pokemon were recalled.

"Hmph, not too shabby, for someone from Pewter. Now then, time to get serious! Go, Starmie!"

Starmie was released, immediately diving into the water.

"Showtime, Ivysaur!"

Misty was obviously nervous about facing a Grass type, but she could tell Starmie outranked Ivysaur as far as it's level.

"Ivysaur, use Vine Whip to bring Starmie out of the water!"

Ivysaur's vines shot into the pool after Starmie, wrapping around it instantly. It brought Starmie out of the water.

"Starmie, escape with Rapid Spin!"

Starmie broke free, using Rapid Spin and arced through the air toward Ivysaur with amazing speed.

"Perfect. Ivysaur, use Poison Powder!"

A cloud of green dust flew out of Ivysaur's flower, covering Starmie and causing it to become poisoned, just as Staryu was. However, the cloud wasn't enough to stop the attack, and Ivysaur was hit head on and nearly fainted.

"Ivysaur! Please, stand!"

Ivysaur strained to get to it's feet.

"Starmie, we can't get hit by any of those Grass type moves, so use Agility and Rapid Spin to stay out of Ivysaur's range!"

Spar watched as Starmie began to ascend above the Poison Powder cloud.

"Just a little higher...now! Ivysaur, use Sleep Powder!"

Ivysaur fired the Sleep Powder,this time aiming upward. It worked like a charm. Starmie fell asleep in mid-air before falling into the pool. After a few seconds, it floated to the surface, it's HP reduced by the poison.

"Starmie is unable to continue! Spar from Pewter City is the victor."

"Far out, Ivysaur. That's two down, six more to go!"

"Saur!"

"That was a heck of a match Misty. Your beauty is only preceded by your skill as a Gym Leader. Your sisters have nothin' on ya."

Spar continued to flirt surprised that Misty seemed to like him as well. After exchanging phone numbers, he bid her farewell, took the Cascadebadge and returned to the city.

- [To Cerulean City]-

Adam wandered into the gym, no fear in his eyes. "Misty I challenge you to a 2v2 battle for the cascade badge"
Adam said "go Ivy and Fist!" Fist and Ivy readied up and Misty summoned Starmie and Staryu
"Fist use Karate Chop, Ivy use Leech seed into the pool!"
Fist karate chop on starmie the strongest of the two pokemon the seeds fell in the pool and instantly absorbed all the water draining the two water pokemon of most of there powers. "Tackle both of you" Misty said
Fist fainted (again) "Ivy use the quad whip we've been working on" Staryu and Starmie fainted!
Adam took the badge and began walking out the gym
{-Cerulean City-}

[Hiro Fenrir]

Outside the gym, Hiro decided to not evolve his Nidorino yet, since it evolves to a half poison and half ground type, which water is super effective on.

He entered the gym and was met by a huge swimming pool that stretched all over the gym and a orange haired girl swimming in it.
"Another challenger?" the girl smiled.
"A little girl is the gym leader, what's next?" said Hiro
"Hey!"
"Fine, let's just get over it and start the battle" said Hiro

The girl got up from the pool and said: "I am Misty of Cerulean Gym. Here We are using two Pokémon against two in a double battle. Let's begin. Go, Staryu and Starmie!"
Hiro sent out Wartortle and Nidorino.

"Staryu, use tackle on Wartortle! Starmie use Watergun on Nidorino!" yelled Misty
"Dodge it!" Wartortle dodged it, but Nidorino didn't manage to get away from it and took some damage.
"Wartortle, use bite on Starmie! Nidorino use Horn-attack on Staryu" Both attacks hit and damaged them alot.

"Staryu and Starmie use a dual watergun on Nidorino!"
"Wartortle! Stop them with tackle!" Wartortle hit Staryu so hard that it fainted, but Starmie hit Nidorino so it fainted too.

"Staryu, come back! Great battle." said Misty
"Nidorino, return. You are weaker than I thought" said Hiro.

"Starmie use confusion!" yelled Misty
"Counter it with bite!" said Hiro. Confusion barely hit Wartortle and hit him for a little damage. Wartortle's bite attack hit Starmie and almost KO'ed it.
"Starmie, use confusion with everything you got!"
"Dodge!" yelled Hiro "Now is your chance, finnish it with tackle!"
Wartortle's tackle hit Starmie so hard that it fell into the pool and fainted. "Starmie, come back! You fought well Starmie."
"Wartortle, return."
"Well, that was a great battle, here's your Cascade badge!" said Misty.
"Hm." said Hiro and took the badge.

Hiro left the gym for his next destination

With her newly strengthened team, Meaghan made her way into the Cerulean Gym where Misty had just finished healing her Pokemon from an earlier battle.

"Busy day, it seems?" Asked the arriving redhead of the other, "That is's been! Are you here to challenge me to?"

"I am. My name is Meaghan, from Celadon City, here to challenge you to the Cascade Badge."

Moving over to platforms on the pool, Misty announced as she threw out her two Pokeballs, "Two on two battle! Staryu, Starmie, let's do this."

With a fling of her hand, Meaghan sent out her two best choices, and in flashes of light Fury and Terra appeared.

"Starmie, Camoflauge! Staryu, Harden!" As the larger star began to shimmer with a fresh coat of armor, Starmie dissapeared, blending with the water.

"Terra, use Helping Hand, Fury's not as strong as you." Chiming an affirmative, the Leafeon let out a soft green glow that enveloped the shiny Pikachu, lending her a fresh burst of strength. "Alright, Fury, Thundershock!"

Yowling out a battlecry, Fury launched a shocking bolt of electricity into the pool, sending up a great storm of sparks as the two water pokemon were shocked severely. Staryu's armor protected it from the worst, but it was still weakened, and Starmie was all but beaten as its camoflauge failed, leaving it hanging limply in the water.

"Quick, Starmie, Recover! Staryu, Rapid Spin that Pikachu!" As Starmie glowed with healing powers, Staryu launched itself up in a fierce spin that slammed into Fury and sent her flying.

"Terra, quick, stop that Staryu! Razor Leaf!" The leaves sprouting from the Leafeon hardened, sharpening to razor-keen edges as she left at the Staryu, slashing with the leaves on her head and tail and ankles. With a last cry, the Staryu fell, leaving a battered Fury to combat the Starmie's Water Pulse that came surging at her. Another thundershock met the Pulse halfway, carrying through the water and blasting the Staryu into unconciousness.

"Excellent choice of Pokemon," Said Misty as she returned her Pokemon in defeat. "Not much I can do against them. Here's your badge, and congradulations."

Zack swiftly walked into the Cerulean City Gym, walked up to Misty and said "I'm challenging you to a double battle, first who has used all of their pokemon loses." Misty said "I accept as all gym leaders should"
Zack said "Go pikachu, go pidgeoto!" and Misty said "staru starmie I choose you!"
"Let the battle begin" said the announcer and judge of the battle.
Zack said "Pikachu use thunderbolt on the water and Pidgeoto use gust to keep staru and starmie in the water!" Misty yelled "Staru Starmie No!" as they were held down by the powerful gust and electrocuted by thunderbolt. Zack said "yah thats what im talking about"
After that powerful combo staru fainted and mist said "staru return you did a good job, take a rest." Misty then called an ice beam attack on pidgeoto which koed pidgeoto at impact. Zack then said "No! pidgeoto return, and now go wartortle!" Misty laghed at the wartortle and said "water wont do anything to starmie" then Zack said "you are right, now wartortle use ice beam to freeze the water and pikachu use thunderbolt on starmie" Starmie was koed from a second powerfull combo. Misty then said "Starmie return and called starmie back into its pokeball" she then said "congradulations you earned the Cascade badge" and handed it to Zack. Zack happily walked out of the cerulean gym with his newly earned badge on his trainer card.

[Richie Kindson]

Richie walked in "i challenge you misty."he said. Misty just smiled and said ok. The is 2 one on one battles sure he said. Ok go pikachu he said. Misty said go staryu. OK Pika use thunder into the pool Staryu jump out the pool and use swift. Pikachu was left wide opened for the swift he was hit and fell into the pool. He got to the top and richie said speed it up a little Pika and use agility now use iron tail he whacked the staryu into the pool now use thunder shock. The staryu was koed. Good job pika Richie said as he came back to him. Ok go starmie misty said. Use physic the pikachu staggered backwards into the pool and now use water pulse and then twister pikachu was knocked out instantly. Ok you did great now go Bulby. Bulby use vine whip he put it into the air now swiing it around in the air now use razor leaf it knocked the starmie out instantly. Congratulations misty said here is the cascade badge. Richie smiled getting the badge and then leaving.

[Snow Cat]

Samatha entered the gym. She walked torward Misty. "So...your Misty?" She said. "Let's get this battle started." Misty grinned in a 'you can't beat me way' to Samatha. "Let's have a 2 on 2 battle." Misty agreed and sent out her Starmie and Staryu. "Go, Chewy!" shouted Samatha. Pikachu popped out of the pokeball and was ready to fight. "Go Manky!" Many came out of the pokeball. "Starmie, Hydro pump!" Blasts of water came from starmie. "Dodge it quickly!" Samatha ordered to both pokemon. Pikachu dodged it but it hit Manky. "Chewy! Do Thundershock to Starmie! And Manky, use Mach punch after pikachu's done doing Thundershock!" Pikachu let out a big thundershock and hit Starmie. Pikachu stopped and immediantly, before Starmie can recover, He used Mach punch and he gave a powerful punch. Starmie was knocked out. "Starmie, return! Staryu, use water gun!" The water gun hit Manky. "Chewy, use iron tail!" Pikachu's iron tail hit Staryu. "Now Manky use tackle!" They tackled Staryu. It fainted. "Congratualtions," Misty said. "You won," She handed Samatha the Cacade badge.

kaibakid walked in smooth like and saw Misty. kaiba asked to challenge her for the cascade badge 2 pokemon each. Misty accepts and the battle commences.

I send out my Beedril and Misty sends out her Staryu. Beedril use poision sting! Beedrils poision sting hits and Staryu is poisioned. Staryu uses a combo of Rapid spin and water gun which takes off the poision and I dodge right in time. Beedril now uses pin missile and it hits it's mark as Staryu hits the water knocking it out.

"U r good but not good enough I will use Starmie!" Instead of Starmie coming out Psyduck pops out of it's pokeball. 'oh no not u psyduck oh well here we go!' I keep Beedril out and attck with my poision sting it hits but psyduck is not poisioned. psyduck attacks with his psycic attack wich knocks my Beedril out. "wow u have a strong psyduck but it cant beat my Bulbasaur." Out came Bulbasaur. Bulbasaur use vine whip the whips grab Psyduck and toss him in the water. Psyduck makes it back out of the water but as soon as it does it gets hit with a Razor leaf knocking it out cold. My bulbasaur then evolves into a magneficent Ivysaur.

"Wow u r good here as promised u get the Cascade bage''. I got the Cascade badge! is wat kaibakid yelled as he walked out of the Cerulean Gym but when he reached the door he was stopped by Misty who gave him the tm Water pulse.

[Kathy]

Everyone was refreshed and healed when they left. Diamond at Kathy's feet and Bolt on her shoulder. Then she stopped in front of the Cerulean Gym. It was nicely painted and the flowers were tended. She walked a little closer as the sliding door smoothly opened for the next challenger. She headed in to find an auditorium with a pool in the middle. It was empty, but for a girl training with her Staryu, was what Kathy thought. She went over for questions and soon found out that the girl was the gym leader.

Kathy asked for a challenge and they both got ready. They both were going to use 2 Pokemon.

Kathy chose Bolt to start and Misty used Staryu.
