Misty is the gym leader here. She uses Water type Pokemon, which can be very tough. Watch out for Water Pulse, as that is a VERY powerful attack. Electric or Grass attacks work well here.

You must have defeated Brock to challenge Misty.
You must defeat Misty to advance onto Route 5

Harry entered the gym, Bulbasaur and Beedrill at his side.
He walked over to challenge Misty, who was swimming with her Staryu.
"Hey? You Misty?" He asked.
Misty looked up. "Yeah. You here for a battle?" She said.
Harry nodded. "If you're up for it." He said.
Misty got out of the water. "I'm always up for a gym battle!" She said, sending out Staryu.
Harry sent out Bulbasaur.
"Bulbasaur, Vine Whip!" Harry said, and Bulbasaur hit Staryu hard. Staryu used Harden, tensing it's muscles.
"Now Bulbasaur, use a Tackle/Vine Whip combo! Like we practised!" Harry called.
Bulbasaur nodded, and skilfully raced around the arena, before suddenly going in for a Tackle. Staryu got hit, but immediately retaliated with a Water Pulse. Bulbasaur dodged it with it;s momentum. Bulbadsaur then used a quick Vine Whip, KOing the Staryu.
Misty sent out Starmie, Harry withdrew Bulbasaur and sent out Beedrill.
"Now Beedrill! String Shot, followed by Twineedle!" Harry called. Beedrill used String Shot, but Starmie used Rapid Spin, ripping the thick thread to pieces. Beedrill was fast enough to get in the Twineedle, and Starmie was thrown back.
Stamie got up and used a Water Pulse, hitting Beedrill hard. Beedrill fell to the floor, but got up again. Starmie used another Rapid Spin, hitting Beedrill again and KOing him.
Harry sent out Nidoran.
"Now Nidoran, feint a Tackle, then use Poison Sting!" Harry called. Nidoran pulled it off, hitting Starmie. Starmie tried another Rapid Spin, but the alert Nidoran dodged it, and fired in another Poison Sting.
Starmie fell into the pool, fainted.
Harry walked over to Misty and they shook hands.
"Is your Starmie OK?" Harry asked.
"Star-mie!" It replied.
Misty smiled. "Yep. You're a good battler. Take this." Misty said, holding out the Cascade Badge.
Harry took it, and attached it to his Trainer Card.
Harry said goodbye, and set off towards the Cape.

Maria entered the Gym with her pokemon. "Chardar you're going to have to be careful, I'm not going to have you battle unless I abosolutly have to." He nodded to her, agreeing.
Misty looked up and smiled at Maria, "Here for a Gym Battle I'm guessing?" Maria nodded.
"Alright then," Misty took out a pokeball and sent out her Staryu, "I choose you, Staryu!" In a flash of red light the bronze star appeared.
"Alright, here goes nothing. Go Eve!" She said throwing the pokeball up into the air. Eve jumped onto one of the platforms on the water, "EEVEE!"
"Staryu water gun!" Misty shouted. Staryu jumped in the water and jumped back out a moment later, shooting water at Eve.
"Dodge it!" Maria said, Eve jumped to the side. "Use Body Slam!" Eve jumped into the air and tackled the Staryu into the water, jumping off it at the last second onto the safty of a platform.
"Staryu dive underwater!" It dived under, then when it was just next to Eve, "Use Water Pulse!" She said. Staryu lept out of the water and used water pulse attack. Eve jumped, though the attack still scathed his back.
"Nice try Eve, now use double team!" Eve jumped from platform to platform, making it look like there were five or more of him. Staryu tried to find the right one.
"Use Water Gun!" Misty said. Staryu kept fireing, only to hit thin air.
"Now Eve, use another Body Slam!" Eve jumped and tackled the dizzy Staryu. Staryu shook it off though it had taken alot of damage. Eve was panting hard after running around so much. You can do this...
"Alright Eve, use Return!" Maria said, Eve jumped at Staryu, knocking it back and landing once again on a platform. "Good job!"
"Staryu now, use rapid spin!" Misty shouted. Staryu rushed at Eve and knocked him into the water, he struggled to get back onto the platform and collapsed when he finnaly did. He was panting hard. "You did good Eve, now return before you get hurt anymore!" Maria held out her pokeball and called Eevee back.
"Alright, Go Ace!" Maria said pointing. Ace flew over her shoulder and over the water. "Use whirlwind!" Ace blew up a huge gust of wind, sending Staryu flying into the wall. It fell to the floor, it's gem flashing red.
"Good job Staryu, you deserve a good rest." Misty said recalling her pokemon. "Go Starmie!" She said, throwing the pokeball. "Swift attack!" She shouted. Starmie attacked Ace with it's swift attack.
"Dodge it Ace!" Maria shouted, he flew up and looped back down, "Now use Quick Attack!" She said, he flew fast towards the purple pokemon, hitting it on the gem. Starmie flew back into the water.
"Rapid Spin and Water Gun combo!" Misty shouted. Starmie flew out of the water and hit Ace hard, sending him back to land on a floating platform.
"Ace, you gotta get up!" Maria said, he shot his wings open and went back into the air, "Whirlwind attack!" Maria said, this made Starmie dizzy, "Now hurry and use a full force Quick Attack!" Ace dived through the wind and hit Starmie hard, sending it flying into the water.
"Water Pulse!" Misty shouted, Starmie lept back into the air and shot a water pulse at Ace, hitting his wing.
"Dry it off and use a quick attack again Ace!" Maria shouted. He shook his wing off and shot across the water, nailing the Starmie to the wall.
"Quick use another water gun!" The gym leader shouted. Starmie shot a stream of water at Ace and sent him back towards Maria. He was done. "Good job Ace, you deserve a good rest." She turned to Chardar, "It's weak, one little attack will do the trick alright? Just hang in there and don't get hit." He nodded, "Char."
He jumped forward onto a platform. "Alright, get the first attack in!" Misty shouted, "Water Pulse!" She said.
"Dodge it!" Chardar was already jumping onto the next platform, "Use Smokescreen!" Maria shouted. The arena filled with smog, making Starmie unable to see. "Chardar use Metal Claw!" He launched through the smoke and scratched Starmie right on it's gem, cracking it.
As the smoke cleared Misty saw her pokemon, "Starmie!" She called her pokemon back and put the pokeball away. She jumped across the water and landed infront of Maria, "Good Match, fire pokemon almost never beat me." She smiled, "Here's your Cascade Badge!"
Maria took it and thanked Misty before turning and walking out of the Gym with Chardar.

Maria ran into Jin on her way out of the Gym, "Oh sorry Jin, I already challenged Misty..." She frowned, "She's tough....I don't know if you'll be able to win. I had to use Chardar and I was worried that he'd get soaked. I'll wish you good luck though." She said smiling a bit.

Zubat dodged and flew to the top of the gym it then flew straight down and used tackle
It fainted Staryu
Misty then gave Jin the badge and the TM Water Pulse

pokestar was speechless and happy he ran to the pokemoncenter after he returned he was ready to go to his next adventure

Aaron approached Misty, who was practicing underwater jira, a new martial arts that required strong muscles and a love and endurance for water. "Misty," Aaron called out, "I challenge you to a two on two battle." Misty climbed out of the deep pool and nodded, grabbing a towel off the rack. "No problem," Misty said, "I'll be with you in a second.
The referee yelled, "Go!" Aaron knew this, and was reaching for his two chosen balls. "Go Tank! Go Fang!" The two poisonous Pokemon jumped out of their balls in midair. "Go Starmie! Go Staryu!" Two starfish-like Pokemon appeared in a flash, their arms spread out in an attack position. Tank landed on a platform floating in the water, his poisionous horns ready for action. Fang flew up a started a Gust, while Tank planted his horns into the ground, keeping him firm, while the two starfish Pokemon flew back, taking damage.
Tank jumped up and nodded to Fang. Fang swooped down and jumped onto Tank's back. Man, the way Pokemon work is always going to be a wonder to me. Since they were both Poison-types, Fang was unaffected by the deadly horns of Tank. Fang held close while Tank jumped from plantform to platform, getting closer to the starfish duo. Starmie jumped up and went under water, while Staryu started to spin in the air closer to Tank and Fang.
Fang quickly unlatched himself from Tank and bit Staryu, who fell over to the water, weak and almost unable to battle. Tank jumped off the platform which Starmie tried to undermine, only taking slight damage. Starmie retaliated by blowing a deep Bubblebeam at Fang, who hit the ceiling and fell down. "Dang," Aaron said as Fang slowly got up. Staryu tried to retaliate but hitting Tank, but ended up attacking himself, getting stuck on Tank's poisonous fangs. Tank yelled "Ranido!" while he slammed himself onto the platform on his back, hurting Staryu much more than he was hurting himself. Staryu was poisoned, and quickly fell unconscious. "Return, Staryu!" Misty yelled, returning her unfortunately unable to battle Pokemon.
Tank got up, slightly weak from the battle. He looked a bit wobbly, and Aaron didn't want him to lose friendship points. "Return, Tank!" Tank returned to his ball. The battle was between a weak Fang and a weaker Starmie. "Fang, you can do it! Use another gust to blow Starmie away!" Fang focused and sent a gust of wind towards that direction. Starmie went with the current of wind and landed harmlessly onto the ground. A stronger wind would have to do. Fang was using so much energy gusting... a Zubat couldn't hold on that long... wait... a Golbat? Fang had evolved into a Golbat, and was gusting at full speed. Starmie couldn't handle the wind and banged constantly against the waterless walls. "Return, Starmie," Misty called to her unable-to-battle Pokemon. Fang swooped down and perched himself onto Aaron's shoulder.
"Well done," she said, awarding the Cascadebadge to Aaron. "You have earned it." "Thank you," Aaron said, then afterwards leaving, victory flooding his heart.

"Okay trainer, how do you want to battle?"
"4vs4 double battle"
"Sorry trainer, i only have 2 pokemon, but i'll let you use 3, okay?"
"All right, thank you misty"
"Its okay, commence the battle! 3vs2 double for the Cascade badge!"

"Go Staryu and Starmie!"
"Come on out, Vaporeon and Beedrill!"
"Staryu, use Harden, Starmie, use Water pulse on Beedrill!"
"Vaporeon, bite Starmie! Beedrill, focus energy!"
Starmie used a strong water pulse on beedril who then focused all its energy. Vaporeon used bite on starmie for a super-effective hit. Staryu hardened.
"Staryu rapid spin vaporeon, Starmie, Water pulse beedrill!"
"Beedrill, fury attack staryu, Vaporeon, bite starmie again!"
Beedrill struck first and hit staryu. The first hit didnt hurt it because of harden, but the next 4 were all critical hits, nearly taking out staryu. Starmie used water pulse and finished beedrill. Shadow sent out Nidorina. Vaporeon bit starmie. Staryu rpaid spun vaporeon, but it didnt do very much.
"Starmie confusion on vaporeon, Staryu water pulse on nidorina"
"nidorina poison sting staryu, Vaporeon bite starmie!"
Starmie hit vaporeon but it held its ground and when shadow's pokemon attacked both of misty's fainted.
"Great battle, heres your badge!"
Nidorina grew to level 21. Vaporeon grew to level 19

Misty: well, hello, Trainer, are you here for Gym battle?
me: you guessed it right!
Misty: (grins) alright..(throw Pokeball) come out, staryru!
me: Pikkachu, you're up!
Pikachu: (running to arena) Pika..
me: Pikachu, Volt tackle!
Pikachu: (running with thunder on its body) Pi! Pi! Pi!
Misty: oh no! (saw Staryru got hit and faints) you did good, Staryru..(throw Pokeball) go, Starime!
me: huh? (reaching my pokedex)
