IC This is a sloping route, with lots of ledges. Pokemon Daycare is found here, but only for 1 Pokemon. There is a building leading to Saffron, and another building which takes you through the underground path, and on to Viridian City. OOC You must have the Cascade Badge to proceed through here. |

Maria headed south to Route 5 after beating Misty and visiting Bill at his cottage. She bounded southward, not wanting to go through the grass incase she met some more trainers on her way to Vermillion. She walked past the Day-Care center and into the Cycling Tunnel to Route 6.
After running through the tunnel she arrived on Route 6 just north of Vermillion City. She walked down the path and saw two hiker kids. "You wanna battle?!" The girl asked her.
"Of course she does!" The boy said, throwing a pokeball.
Before Maria could respond the two sent out their pokemon, a squirtle and a pikachu.

Jin rushed up and said, "Let's double battle them!"
Maria turned and nodded to him, "Go Chardar!" She said pointing. "Meleon!" He said as he stood infront of her, facing the pikachu and squirtle.
"You know a fire type like Charmeleon is weak against water and electric pokemon like squirtle and pikachu." The girl said confidently.
Maria grinned, "Type match up isn't everything..." She glanced at Chardar, pumped up and ready for a fight. "Chardar use ember on Pikachu!" He let out a hot stream of embers.
"Squirtle use water gun!" The boy said. Squirtle doused the fire attack. "Use quick attack pikachu!" The girl shouted. Pikachu tackled Chardar, it didn't even phase him...

Harry took the underground path, using it instead of going through Saffron.
Harry followed the others, and watched them battle. Charmeleon looked powerful, but Harry knew that Beedrill was just as powerful.
Harry continued down the route, hoping to get to Vermilion. He dodged a couple of trainers, and Voltorb woke up just in time to dispatch a couple of wild Pokemon.
Just as Harry was about to enter Vermilion, a trainer strode up.
"Battle?" He asked.
Harry smiled confidently. "You're on." He grinned.
The trainer sent out Spearow.
Harry sent out Voltorb. "OK Voltorb, Thundershock!" He called.
Voltorb released the electricity, and Spearow was hit.
"Now Voltorb, Charge, then another!" Harry called.
The other trainer grinned. "Spearow, Fly up high!" He said.
Voltorb charged up, then released the Thundershock, hitting the Spearow powerfully.
It fell to the ground, in a dead faint.
Harry punched the air. "Way to go Volty!" He said happily. The Voltorb smiled happily.
The trainer walked away, nursing the injured Spearow.
Hary walked into Vermilion, happy.

Pikachu fainted from the combine metalclaws.
"Alright Chardar use a Metal Claw attack on Squirtle!" Chardar sliced at the little turtle, landing a critical hit. It fell to the ground with a thunk.
"Return Squirtle!" The boy said. "Nice match."
"You two did well.." Maria said, "Your pokemon are strong, keep training." And with that walked off with Jin and her three pokemon to Vermillion City.

Maria sighed, "The only way to beat Sabrina is if you have a ghost pokemon. At least it's alot easier if you do..." Maria said to him.
