This all sounds really good. I like what Aaron said. Made a lot of sense to me. And then the whole thing about trusted members being given "Freedom of the Forum" is a really good idea. I like that one. But yes, I'm totally in for this. You have my support all the way.
Oh, I just thought about something. You know how you're saying a rare every two weeks? Well there's just one thing. People post more than others. So I think that the number of rares you can find should go by posts instead of time. That's my thought anyways.

Hmm.... like say 1 rare every 50 posts. If you post a lot and your active enough that should be easy. Or maybe it could be 1 rare every 75 posts, but I think 5 is a better number. Plus people don't deserve rares f the're not active or if they post 1 post to level u 6 levels.
I also think leveling up is an issue. Some peple post that there pokemon gre 6 levels after a battle against a pidgey lv.2. You could have certain moderators for certain things. There could be moderators for moderating catching, moderators for moderating leveling up, and so on.

Well yeah, but you can go in and modify someone's post count to deal with that. *shrugs* I was just saying... someone could post like once a week and end up with three rare pokemon by the time they battle Misty or something. See what I mean?

See what I mean? No, I agree with you, but that would be hard on the admins. ;D So, like, you make a good point, but it would make our jobs a whole lot harder. And I was just giving a better solution compared to deoxys's. I really don't think it's a great idea. I think the post has to be longer, better written, and more complex but understandable for more rare Pokemon.

People post more than others. So I think that the number of rares you can find should go by posts instead of time. That's my thought anyways. Spammers rip this to pieces, and it would also mean that your post count would need to be recorded etc. Hmm.... like say 1 rare every 50 posts. If you post a lot and your active enough that should be easy. Or maybe it could be 1 rare every 75 posts, but I think 5 is a better number. Some peple post that there pokemon gre 6 levels after a battle against a pidgey lv.2. You could have certain moderators for certain things. There could be moderators for moderating catching, moderators for moderating leveling up, and so on. Same as before, the post count is not such a great idea. As for moderators, I'm going to have two groups: mods and elite Mods will mod, e.g helping new members, deleting spam on their board. Elite will moderate catching etc. ................ wow to Harry. hi I'm newGet the point? Ya, he's quite right. And I'm not going to be the guy who has to keep going around deducting posts. Well yeah, but you can go in and modify someone's post count to deal with that. *shrugs* I was just saying... someone could post like once a week and end up with three rare pokemon by the time they battle Misty or something. See what I mean? Solution is to do a post/time ratio. E.g, if you post 25 times in a week, you get a rare, or something. If you post 25 times in longer, you get the rare. Possibly 50 times or w/e. Well yeah, but you can go in and modify someone's post count to deal with that. *shrugs* I was just saying... someone could post like once a week and end up with three rare pokemon by the time they battle Misty or something. I think that the 'reward' system (giving out rares for time/posts) is no good, and should be solely at the moderator's discretion whether the member catches or not.

I've know of 2 different kinds of rp sites:
1:People decide if they catch it or not, the story is all up to the people.
2:The moderators reply to people's story.
The problem with 1 is that people catch super rares and level up way too fast.
The problem with number 2 is the moderators got tired of replying to people's stories, eventually, all the moderators quit and the site failed.
You pick which fate you'd rather have. Of course it is possible to have a successfull site with using 1 or 2.

I know something that would help with this... I had found a thing that you put in the global header or footer and it adds a dice roll thing that you can put in your post. you could make it so that you roll a 30 sided dice when you try to catch a pokemon and if a number comes up in a certain range, you catch the pokemon, and the more rarer the pokemon is, the lest numbers would work for you...
example:
A person wants to catch a rare Pikachu- they roll a 30 sided dice in there post, for rares you need to get a 1 or 2 to catch. The person rolled a 27, so they fail to catch Pikachu.
but for say a common Rattata, you just need to get any numbers between 1-20 to catch it.
(numbers could be increased or decreased to suit what you want, my numbers were just an example.)
(and you could limit the amount of times you can try to catch a pokemon per day-something like you get one chance to catch a pokemon every day.)

(and you could limit the amount of times you can try to catch a pokemon per day-something like you get one chance to catch a pokemon every day.) Only problem this that is some people like to spent several posts in one section catching pokemon. The one a day would limit the amount of posting that player would be able to do. If that person wanted to catch these pokemon before he moved on then it could become a problem.

It stops limiting people, and they just back out and try again. Only problem this that is some people like to spent several posts in one section catching pokemon. The one a day would limit the amount of posting that player would be able to do. If that person wanted to catch these pokemon before he moved on then it could become a problem. This site does need some core RP, so post limits are no good.

I don't want to search for a catching post. You know what I mean?

I'll probably make a thread, where you can request an update, if you don't want to PM. Otherwise some people will PM every staff member.
