The tall skyscraper is full of trainers after Team Rocket were driven out of Kanto. Getting up to the 11th Floor is said to be very difficult. It is almost a replica of Trainer Tower in Hoenn, but Silph Co still run their business here.

"Now it's a 1-on-1 match!" The bully said.
"C'mon Yondemai! You can do it!" Everyone in Silph Co. yelled.
"Go! Charmeleon!" Yondemai yelled.
"Go! Grovyle!" The bully said.
Hmm.....Sence Grovyle is the evolved form of Treeko and he's a leaf type, I have a big advantage! Yondemai thought. "Charmeleon, use Flamethrower!"
Charmeleon missed!
"Grovyle, use Leaf Blade!" The bully said.
"Charmeleon look out!" Yondemai warned.
Charmeleon was hit! But he wasn't hurt at all!
"Okay, Charmeleon, use Flamethrower fuul POWER!" Yondemai said.
Grovyle was hit and had fainted!
"Yay! My trainer winning streak is 2!" Yondemai said.
"WHOOO-HOOOOOO!" Everyone cheared.
Yondemai left and headed on to the city of Vermillion, for his next mini badge, and his step closer to defeating Lt. Surge!

[Kathy]

"Silph Co. is it?" Kathy and Hubert were browsing the city, and the first thing that caught their eyes, or their hearts, was the tall building. Hubert smiled, "Yep, and my dad works here," Kathy laughed, "Yeah, can't wait to embarrass you!!" Hubert sourly laughed along, "Hmm...I can't wait to show off!" Kathy popped a berry into her mouth, "Try it!" Hubert smiled, "Come on,"
In the Silph Co. they were greeted by a girl, who wanted a battle, "The proper way to introduce someone is a battle!!" Kathy smiled, "I'm in, 1 to 1!" The girl nodded in agreement and whistled, but then, a group of men came up to them, "Hubert!" one of the men cried. He had a thin beard and a small face. He is skinny with black curly hair, "Dad, nice to see you!" Hubert gave his dad a hug, "Everyone's watching son," Hubert stepped away, embarrassed, "Sorry. Anyway, this is my neat friend Kathy. Kathy, this is my dad, Hake," Hake and Kathy shook, "It's nice to meet you Kathy, Hubert told me all about you," Kathy nodded, "and Hubert is always bragging about you," Hake smiled nervously, "Yep, that's him," Hubert laughed, "My dad is a great assistant to the president," One of the men laughed, "That's right, he's the man," Hake nodded, "and these are my co-workers, Jim, Tom, and Matt," All greeted themselfs, "Let's go to my office for a cup of tea," Hake nodded, "You guys want to join us?" Hubert nodded, "How 'bout you Kathy?" Kathy hesitated, "Alright,"
Hake's office was small, but clean. Kathy sat down on a leather chair and watched as Hubert giggled about a joke Hake was muttering while they prepared the tea, "Herb tea Kathy?" She nodded, through herb tea wasn't her thing, or just plain tea! When Hake and Hubert finished the tea and chattering, Kathy smiled, "So, time to get together eh?" They both looked at her, "Well, yeah," Hubert stammered. Kathy giggled, and Hake scratched his head, "I guess you could say that, here's your tea," He handed her a foam cup filled with light green tea, "Er, thanks," She quickly sipped the hot tea and watched Hubert and Hake chatter again. She smiled and finished her tea and threw the cup into the waste bin, "Thanks for the enjoyment, I'm gonna browse the building, see you Hubert, Hake," she waved and left the room, pleased that her tea was finished. Tea didn't fit to her taste buds, it was bitter. She yawned and headed down the hallway.

The wind whistled again and a girl about his age was giggling with another boy. She had forest green hair and soft blue eyes. She wore a white dress with red cuffs and a bright silver headband. The other boy wore a blue t-shirt and long white jeans. The wind ruffled his spiky brown hair. John frowned and broke in, "Hey Kate, I have some neat friends I want you to meet, how 'bout it?" Kate laughed and nodded, "Sure, I-" she started, but the other boy cut in, "I have some friends too, they are really cool, you should see their Pokemon!" Kate giggled, "Okay Mike, I'll love to see some cool Pokemon!" John frowned again and looked at the ground as the trio walked down Saffron's street. Kate was his friend from first grade and so was Mike. She had loads of friends and all wanted to impress her, "Hey John, how 'bout it? Let's go!" John looked away and said sourly, "Erm...wait, you can see my friends first," Kate looked at him strangely, "I want to go see Mike's friends first," John nodded slowly. Kate nodded, "Okay," and all round the corner, away from the Pokemon Center and Kathy.

The first person she met since she left Hake's office was a boy named Danny, and he wanted to battle, "I'm gonna win like all of the other times, 2 on 2 for me," Kathy chuckled, "I won't be sure about that," and threw a Pokeball, "Let's go Mistcloud!" Her Gyrados came out of it's ball and roared. Danny smiled confidently and threw his ball, "Porygon, I need you!" His Pokemon cried out it's name, "Let's start it, Signal Beam!" A ray of red and blue struck out of it's eyes and surged towards Mistcloud. Kathy panicked, she hasn't even heard of this Pokemon and it's attacks, but quickly thought of an attack to counter it, "Dragon Rage!" Mistcloud breathed in and released a powerful colored blasted. The two attacks collided and dust was released into the air. Kathy coughed, "Hydro Pump!" Mistcloud aimlessly launched a Hydro Pump into the cloud of dust and cleared it, "Porygon, Mirror Coat!" "Huh?" A pink shield surrounded Porygon and the Hydro Pump was bounced back to Mistcloud. It hit Mistcloud in its middle and was thrown back by the force, "What?" Kathy gasped, "You see, Mirror Coat reflects the attack with double the force," Danny replied coolly, "Let's have it, Sharpen!" Kathy glanced at Mistcloud then to Porygon, but instead of some kind of beam or something, a blue aura surrounded Porygon. A sweat dropped, "What was that?" Danny only smirked, "Psybeam!" Mistcloud was already up, "Hydro Pump again!" Mistcloud aimed its attack. Kathy watched as the two attacks were stopped in the middle, but the Psybeam pushed the Hydro Pump and struck Mistcloud.

The park was crowded with people, kids mainly. Kate followed Mike to a group of kids, and John followed close behind, "Yo Mike, how you doing?" Mike gave him a thumbs up, "Cool, I want you to meet Kate, my love," John froze, "His love? Kate never mention that!!" Kate blushed, "We're just friends," and gave Mike a wink. The boys crowded around the two of them, with John watching behind. Mike introduced Kate to each one of his buddies, "Yep," They started chattering about loads of stuff, then one stepped out and pointed to John. Everyone stopped talking and turned to John, "Oh, that's just my classmate, guess he followed me here," Kate frowned and placed her hand on John's shoulder, "No, he's my friend," Mike sourly smiled to himself, "So, have ya caught any new Pokemon?" he asked, trying to change the subject. Everyone turned back to him and continued talking. John looked at the soft green grass, "I guess I'll be leaving now," he muttered to himself. Kate saw him leaving and waved, "Bye...John," she whispered to herself. John caught her wave and smiled weakly back, and left the park, and back to the Centre.


Mistcloud collapsed, with swirls in its eyes, "Didn't you know? Sharpen increases attack!" Kathy muttered to herself, "Return," she congratulated Mistcloud and placed it into her bag and looked nervously at Bolt. It nodded and ran up to the battlefield, "A Pikachu eh? Well, good enough for me, Psybeam!" A stream of ice was released from Porygon's mouth, "Use Agility to dodge, and follow it up with Thunder Bolt!" Bolt swiftly move around Porygon and Kathy could see it getting confused, "Porygon, Signal Beam," Porygon attacked from all sides, but with Bolt appearing and disappearing, it was nearly impossible. Then finally, Bolt came to a halt and charged up to release a Thunder Bolt. The electric attack hit Porygon, then dust took over the battlefield.

The Center was just starting to appear against the thick fog, "I'm get Kathy to show the show off!" John smiled to himself, "That's right, Kathy is going to hammer him down!!" He drew closer to the Center and the sliding down smoothly opened and he stepped in. Kathy wasn't sitting in the waiting room, "Maybe the cafeteria." He opened the glass door left of Nurse Joy's counter. The smell of chicken and steak filled his nose. He could hear plates clinking and forks and spoons bank against the bowls and plates. He was hungry, but needed to show Mike how a real trainer works...not him, Kathy. He nodded with a beam, "I'll show that Mike the Maniac!"

When the dust cleared, Porygon was leaning on the clear wall, with swirls in it's eyes. Kathy punched the air, "We did it Bolt!" Bolt replied happily, "Oh, no, I still have one more Pokemon! Go, Electabuzz!" The strong Electric Pokémon proudly stomped its feet, "This here is my strongest pokemon, good luck! Thunder Punch!" its hand begin to spark and gave Bolt a powerful punch, but didn't do much damage, "Bolt, Quick Attack!" Bolt made a quick dart and slammed Electabuzz in its middle. Electabuzz backed down, "Low Kick!" Electabuzz stretched its leg and delivered a strong kick. Bolt was sent flying towards the wall, "Bolt!" The mouse Pokemon tried to get back on it's feet, shaking weakly, "Time to end this, Thunder Punch!" Again, sparks flew from its hand at it tried another Thunder Punch, but Bolt manage to barely dodge. Kathy hasty dug her bag for a Potion and sprayed it on Bolt. It yelp a bit but soon recovered, "Alright, now, Quick Attack again!" Bolt launched itself and pounded Electabuzz hard. Kathy's heart beated faster as Electabuzz was slowly trying to get up, "Let's win this, Thunder Bolt!" Bolt concentrated and then cried out as a surge of lighting shot from the tiny mouse Pokemon and forcefully hit the tired Electabuzz. It cried out in pain and collapsed, fainted. Kathy punched the air harder and raced over to Bolt. It lean against her arm and made a happy cry, and tired out. Kathy smiled warmly and nodded at Danny, who was just returning Electabuzz, "You fought well, hope you make through the badges," He nodded again and headed down the hall.

After a satisfying lunch, John glanced around the cafeteria, no sign of Kathy or Hubert. He shook his head and exited the Center, "Where can Kathy be?" he glanced around the huge city, "I'll start there," he said to himself, and pointed to a large skyscraper. He chuckled to himself and headed on. He was heading to Silph Co.

[Sorry for the double post, couldn't help myself, my last one looked more like a fan fic! So now I'm going to make a separate one. I'm sorry about my past double, no triple, no wait...uh...millions of posts. I can't help from waiting when my mind is full of ideas.]

On the other side of Saffron, a girl with pink hair tied to a pony tail, stepped out to smell the fresh air. Her red dress sparkled in the sun. Her mother has just given her her first Pokemon, a Vulpix. Unlike other starting trainers, they visited Pro. Oak, but she has linked a fond for her mother's Vulpix and she gave it to her. She wanted to explore the region of Kanto and other regions, not just battling. The girl smiled again, "Starting my journey with a friend," she smiled again. Her mom came out of the house, "Here's your bag honey, have a safe trip. And remember, call mom when ever you reach another city!" The girl smiled, "I will mom," Her mom gave her a hug and waved as the girl rode off on her shiny new bike.

Hubert smiled, it was two hours since he and his dad met again, "Okay son, I better get back to work. Nice to talk with you again," Just then, the door flew open and Kathy walked in with Bolt in her arms, "What happened?" Kathy decided not to tell him right now, "Give me a sec. will you?" Hubert nodded and watched as Kathy gave Bolt a few berries to eat. While Bolt chew on his prize, Kathy told Hubert about her battle. "Sounds like you made a rival," Kathy frowned, "Yea, whatever," Hubert smiled, "Well, dad's waiting for me, have fun!" Kathy smiled back and glanced at the window. She smirked to herself and walked towards it. She gazed out at the busy city. And somewhere inside, she felt she would make a new friend here in Saffron City.

It was nighttime and Kathy was asleep on the couch in Hake's house. After that exciting battle, Kathy told Hubert and Hake about it. They knew Kathy had battled well and Hake offered a stay at his house. It wasn't big, or wasn't small either. Hubert was in his bedroom, and Hake was snoozing in his room. Kathy couldn't sleep. Noise was everywhere, not like the quiet town of Pallet. She sat up and gazed around and yawned. Bolt was softly snoring on a pillow, twitching it's ears from time to time. Kathy chuckled to herself and flipped on the T.V. After a few minutes, Hubert dragged himself down the stairs, "Why you up so late?" he asked yawning. Kathy giggled bitterly, "Uh, well...I couldn't sleep," Hubert chuckled to himself, "Well, have fun. I'm gonna get a snack," He opened the fridge and dug inside until he got a gallon of milk and reached for the cupboard and got a pack of cookies. He smiled at her and placed it on the counter, "Hungry?" Kathy shook her head, "Nah," he shrugged and started his snack. Kathy smiled in reply. She could feel her eyes heavy and fell asleep.

The next morning, John had just woke up from the sleep in the Center. It was dark when he reached the tall building and turned back for some shelter. He yawned and got up. Nurse Joy was humming to herself as he approached her, "Morning, a girl with sienna hair about this tall," he motioned with his arms and hands, "didn't stop here did she?" He had slept early last night so his search will start early. Nurse Joy shook her head, "Not last night, but this afternoon. She said she was heading to Silph Co." John nodded and thanked her.
After ordering a fat biscuit and orange juice to go, he left the Center and went to find out where Silph Co. is located, "It's that huge skyscraper," John smirked to himself and threw his to go breakfast, "Watch out Mike, my buddy is gonna pound you down!!"

"Yea, I don't give this to be simple! We'll meet tomorrow Joe!" Hake slammed the phone, "Dang that Joe, always doing that foul work!" Hubert chuckled to himself, "Calm down dad, Kathy's watching," Hake grunted and returned to his work. Actually, Kathy paid no attention to them. She sighed, and yawned. She groaned, "Had to wake up," she mumbled to herself. The truth was, she didn't sleep because she was worried about John. It had been a day since she had last seen him. She smiled weakly at Hubert who was reading a newspaper, "I'm gonna be touring the building again," Hubert nodded, "Kay," and returned to his chapter. Kathy sighed happily and opened the door, "I've got some stuff to do around town, won't be back 'til late at night," Hubert held up a hand and nodded. Kathy sighed again and closed the door behind her. Kathy could feel it, Hubert was happy with his dad. Of course he's happy, but she had a feeling. A feeling that he might stay behind.

[Kathy]

Kathy leaned against the wall and sighed, "I'll go find John," she told to herself simply. Quickly darting to the elevator, she pounded on the metal door. "What in the world am I doing?" she instantly stopped and gasped, for standing behind the opening doors was Lisa. Lisa frowned, what are you doing here?" Kathy's mouth flew open, "Uh, well, uh..." Lisa grinned evilly, "Follow me here eh?" Kathy desperately shook her head, "I..." Lisa rolled her eyes, "Move kid, I've got someone to meet," Kathy glared at her and darted inside the elevator and pushed Lisa out. "Hey!" was the angry yet simple answer Lisa spatted out. Kathy smirked to herself and she pressed the "1" button. The doors closed and she could feel the thing slowly moving. "What a surprise..." was all she could mumble before the elevator came to a sudden stop. The doors opened and the lobby was in view, but right in the middle of an attack!

John made quite a few turns before finding the entrance to Silph Co. He was about to yank the door open when a group of teenagers stomped in front of him. He shivered. "Look, a little kid, guess he'll be a spectator as we attack the grown building!" John was confused, attack Silph Co.? The laughed and one politely opened the door for what John though the leader. They laughed and stomped in, with Pokeballs in their hands, "Come on people, I'm just browsing around," they laughed at their not-funny joke. John tried to wiggle free from a gang member's grip, but no good. People began screaming and cramming behind the counters and running for doors. Suddenly, a DING was heard and out stepped a familiar face, Kathy.

Hubert smiled as his dad called him for a few seconds. Suddenly, the door burst open in came a few men, "The...lobby..." one of them gasp. Hake patted him on his back, "What's going on?" Hubert listened carefully as the men started to tell them about the attack on the first floor. Hubert gagged, "Kathy's down there! She might be in trouble!!" After seeing how sorrow she was when she left, Hubert knew Kathy was gone...out of the building. It just came to him and with a quick jolt, Hubert darted out of the room and ran down the stairs.

Kathy nervously looked around, this dudes were older and must stronger and there was like 12 of them, but her Pokemon could beat them! One of the boys was holding someone as he approached the counter...John! Kathy froze, what were they doing with John?! She skipped past the gang and out of the building. Then, with her mind racing, she threw out two balls. Mistcloud and Sunlight came out and cried out it's name. Three turned to Kathy and stormed out the door and sneered, "Ooh...how cute! A little flea trying to run for help and save this crappy building!" Kathy could see sparks coming from Bolt at her feet, "I'm good as anyone, and I'm gonna hammer you all down!" she shot back. They laughed, "We've got this shrimp! Go, Zubat!" "Tauros!" "Come on out Jolteon!" Their Pokemon were released from their balls and shrieked and roared loudly. Bolt rushed up to join the 3 on 3 match, "Sunlight, plant a Leech Seed on Tauros, give Zubat a Hydro Pump, and Thunder Bolt!" The team of trio attacked together. "Zubat, Air Cutter!" "Hyper Beam, Tauros!" "Thunder Jolteon!!" All three launched their attacks. The attacks collided and made a huge blast, and dust soon took over. It was very thick and Kathy could feel tears from her eyes, "Hydro Pump!" Kathy ordered her Gyrados. It roared and used Hydro Pump on the thick dust and also hit Tauros. Kathy smiled Sunlight's Leech Seed had made a successful landing on Tauros. It roared in pain and Kathy had to smile, "Thunder and Hydro Pump!!" Mistcloud and Bolt both combined their attacks and it hit Zubat dead on. Now there was only Jolteon left! "Jolteon, give 'em a Thunder!!" Jolteon cried out and aimed its powerful attack at Mistcloud, ULTRA EFFECTIVE!! Mistcloud roared for the last time and fainted. Kathy returned it as the other two sneered. The other one ordered a Thunder from his Jolteon again, "Agility!" Bolt disappeared and reappeared all around Jolteon, "Quick Attack!!" Bolt came to a halt and slammed Jolteon, barely missing Jolteon's spikes. It fainted. Kathy punched the air and sneered right back. The gang trio groaned and frowned at her, "We'll be back!" then ran towards the park.

John fearfully watched the many battles going on. Suddenly, a boy, a familiar boy raced down the stairs panting. He called out Growlithe. John smiled, but it soon lasted. One of the gang members KOed Growlithe and the member shoved Hubert towards the wall. John felt like crying. Then, he was shoved to a corner along with other trainers. John looked up to see four faces staring down at him.

Hubert breathed restlessly. His heart was beating faster and faster. He stopped at the end, panting hard, "Go Flamer!" he gagged. His Pokemon growled. Another member smirked and called on Mankey, "Flamethrower!!" Mankey swiftly dodged and gave Growlithe a Mach Punch, and Growlithe fainted. Hubert's heart beated faster, then the last thing he knew was his back slamming into the wall.

[Kathy]

Kathy grinned as the trio ran for their lives. She rushed back into the building and gasp. "Bolt," Her Pikachu ran up and gave one of the gang members and push. "Hey!" Kathy called on Diamond and ordered it to Tackle everyone else. As the two swiftly moved around, Kathy saw something out of the corner of her eye. Hubert. She darted to Hubert and shook him, "Where..." Kathy frowned, "Come on, we gotta g-" A bully tackled her side and she slammed into Hubert. He yelped in pain. Kathy tried to lift herself off, but felt weak, then all went black.

John bit his lips and watched as Kathy's Pokemon attack. He was scared. Bolt ran up to him and get John a friendly cry, but then a Beedrill Tackled it. John watched in pain as Bolt was slammed against the wall. He frowned with anger and Tackled the Beedrill's master. Struck by surprise, he landed hard on the floor. John picked Bolt up and ran.

Hubert groaned in pain. He carefully pushed Kathy off of him, "Come on, we'd better get dad." Kathy woke with a surprise and instantly got off, "You go, I'll keep them busy," Hubert nodded, though he felt unsafe with leaving her behind. He raced up the stairs, tired. He felt his legs wobble and his breath getting harder.

Kathy smirked and called out Smokey. It roared and launched a Flamethrower before it was commanded. Two Wartortle were aiming streams of water at Smokey, but it quickly dodged and gave each a Dragon Rage. Kathy grinned.

The door flew opened as Hubert dragged his tired legs in, "Hubert!" his dad helped him up, "What happened?" Hubert groaned, "We're being attacked...Kathy's down there....and..." he manage to gag but couldn't continue. His dad nodded and placed him on the couch, "You stay here, I'll go," Hubert shook his head slightly, but Hake was already out.

Kathy leaned against the wall and cried out in pain. Her side hurt and her legs were stiff. Bolt ran over along with Diamond and both hid behind her legs. Kathy nearly fell over, "Careful guys," Smokey was doing a fine job. Kathy chuckled to herself. She glanced at the stair way and was surprise to see Hake. He threw a ball and out came a Persian. It attacked a Sandslash with Hyper Beam as Smokey gave Zubat a Wing Attack. All was doing fine until Kathy could see John racing towards her. He hid behind Kathy with Bolt and Diamond. Kathy groaned but soon yelped as a Wine Whip struck her.

Hubert groan as one man placed a cast around his right arm. He reached for a glass of water, only to find out he knocked it over. He felt dizzy and pain, "Rest Hubert," then the man left him. He groaned again and sat up, "I hope Kathy's all right." he gazed out the window and smirked to himself, for no reason.

Kathy opened her eyes to see a yellow figure, "Bolt?" he gave her a "Pika!" and she smiled, Bolt was okay. She sat up, nothing was wrong. There was just bruises. She smiled gratefully. Diamond squealed happily. Hake came over to her, "You okay right?" Kathy nodded, "What happened?" Hake just chuckled, "A Bulbasaur attacked you. Luckily, Charizard was able to pound it down. Persian and Charizard chased them away," he chuckled again, "Guess that's some starter you have there," Kathy nodded in reply, "Thanks..." Hake nodded back and disappeared. John hopped over, "That's some Charizard! Hey, I have a question, after you heal, can you come with me to the park?" Kathy gave him a strange look, "For..." John just smiled, "Please..." Kathy, too tired to talk back nodded simply, "Alright..." John smiled gleefully. "Now I'm sure to show the Mike!!"

Hubert dragged himself to the elevator, "I'm so not taking the stairs again." He mumbled to himself. The doors open and a girl stepped out. He froze. Kathy. She smiled, "How are you? Came up here to see you," "Uh...I-I was g-gonna...see y-you..." he stammered. Kathy giggled, "No need," Hubert felt relaxed, "Guess I'll be going back now..."

They sat there in silence. Well, close. John and chattering to Bolt while Kathy and Hubert sipped tea. Tea was not her thing, but after the event, she really needed it, "Uh...Hubert, I'm gonna have to leave now..." The silence took over again. Hubert kinda broke the silence, "Uh...Kathy, I need to tell you something," Kathy knew what, "What?" Hubert tried to smile, "I'm...I'm, I'm staying here..." Kathy didn't seem surprise. Hubert looked confused, "Why aren't you...you know...surprised?" Kathy smiled weakly, "I don't know, I could feel it..." Hubert nodded, "Okay..." They both smiled and shook, "It was nice to meet you," Hubert winked, "Yep." John watched, "Yea, it was nice to travel a bit with you," Hubert smiled at him, "I'll be seeing you then," he stopped and took out a lavender case, "Oh, wait...here's something for you," Kathy took the case and smiled, "Thanks!" He nodded, "Good luck," Kathy sweetly smiled, "You too, and I hope you get better." Hake watched, "Well, have fun," Kathy smiled, "Okay," was all she could say. They gave each other a high five, "I'm gonna miss you..." Hubert blushed, "Me too." Kathy opened the door as John darted out, "See ya," Hake gave her a wave and Hubert winked, and they departed.
