Route 19: Fuchsia City - Seafoam Islands

Maria had just traded Ace back to Professor Oak's in exchange for Night, her new Dratini. She'd taught him Surf and was headed for Seafoam Islands south of Fusia. A pair of trainers had asked her to battle but she'd declined in case she needed her pokemon to get through Seafoam.

Harry arrived on the Route, because it had the best beach in Kanto. It was nowhere near as big as Slateport beach that he had visited on family holidays, but it would do nicely. It was basically deserted, although, it was pretty early. Harry walked down to the edge of the sea, and sent out Magikarp into the sea, where it swam peacefully about.
Ekans and Nidoking joined it, they were both good swimmers.

Harry relaxed by the sea, while all the other Pokemon had fun building sandcastles and digging holes.

Harry shut his eyes for a moment, and he felt himself being thrown forwards, after a large squishy object walked into him. He scrambled up, to see a Chansey blundering towards him, anxious to see if he was OK.
"I'm sorry!! I'm sorry!! Are you OK?" It said, looking very nervous.
Harry was taken aback. It could talk!
"Erm, I'm OK, thanks. How come you can talk?" Harry asked.
Chansey looked sad. "I used to work in a Pokemon Center. Alongside Nurse Joy. But then my counterpart Chansey evolved into a Blissey. I decided to learn to talk human language so that I could be a Pokemon interpreter, and match Blissey for healing powers. It took about a year, but then I could talk quite fluently. I did a really good job, but then Blissey kept on taking over my jobs, until I was just stuck in the background. Even Nurse Joy hardly looked at me except to give me my supper. I eventually packed my stuff to go and see if I could help out at another Pokemon Center. But I just got lost, and ended up here. I spend my spare time healing Pokemon on this beach. I wish I could be back with Nurse Joy, a Nurse Joy who cared." Chansey said, looking very sad.

Harry patted Chansey on the back. "Don't worry. I'm sure you will fins a new Center." He said.

Chansey shook her head. "No. I have looked for months and months, but I get lost and hungry. And I can't look after my egg." She said.

Harry half smiled. "So you come down to this beach every day?" He asked.

Chansey nodded. "Just to get some food."

Harry had an idea. "How about you travel with us? We go round loads of Pokemon Centers! We could find you a new home really fast How about it?" Harry said excitedly.

Chansey looked up. "Really? You would do that for me?" She asked, a flicker of hope crossing her face.

Harry nodded. "The moment we find you a new home, you can stay there and heal every Pokemon you like."

Chansey jumped up. "Thank you, thank you!" She said, hugging Harry.

Harry smiled. "Now, you want to help me train Magikarp?" He asked her.

Chansey nodded quickly.

A few hours later

Harry withdrew Magikarp and all the other Pokemon. Chansey and him walked along towards Fuchsia Pokemon Center.

"We cna talk more there." Harry said, and they went through the door.

Gabriel decided to train his Magikarp.
"Pokemon, come out!" he said.
Charizard, Arcanine, Pidgeot, Dratini, Raichu, and Magikarp came out of their Pokeballs.
"Let Magikarp train on you guys for a little while." said Gabe.
"Magikarp use tackle!" he said.
"Karp!" said Magikarp as he tackled Dratini.
After an hour of training, Gabe decided to go to the center.
"Magikarp use-"
Magikarp had started glowing.
"Great, now you can learn Surf." he said to his Gyarados.
Gyarados quickly learned surf.
"Lets test surf out." he said.
"Gyaradoooos!" said Gyarados.
Gabriel got on Gyarados' back and started surfing.
"Great" he said.
"Lets go win that badge now." Gabe said as he smiled.
"Return!" he said pointing his pokeball at Gyarados.
"Arcanine, come out!" he said.
He got on Arcanine's back.
"To Fuschia." he said.
Arcanine went to Fuschia at extreme speed.

Bek flew on her Charizard's back; over the sea to the Seaform Islands. Where her next challenge awaits her.........
