Gym #3 - Thunder Badge

Surge sir" Adam said after getting past the electric doors. "I am hear to challenge you to a best 2 out of 3 battle. You Have 3 of your pokemon and I have 3 of mine!"
"You Kid are on!, Go Voltorb!"
"Go Ivysaur, Stay on the ground so his electric moves dont affect you! Vine whip!"

"Go Raichu!" Surge shouted

"Hang on you used that pokemon last time! you cant do that!"
"I stated the challenge, And I said nothing about that using the same pokemon twice was against the rules!"

[Starla]

Starla entered the gym with the pichu still sleeping in her arms. Surge looked up and arched an eyebrow.

"Your not gonna fight with a baby pokemon are you?"

She glared at him. "He is far to young to battle. But I am here to challenge you."

He nodded. "This will be a three on three. Voltorb your up!"

Starla didn't want to use Slasher just yet. She set her pack down and placed the pichu upon it to continue his nap and tossed one of her pokeballs out. Out came Lil Tatty.

"Quick Attack then Hyper Fang!" Tatty charged in.

"Charge." The voltorb started to collect energy. The hyper fang hit and Tatty got lucky when the volt orb passed out after one hit. Surge growled, recalled the KOed pokemon and sent out a pikachu.

"Shock Wave!" he snapped. the electric attack blasted through the room KOing Tatty and waking up the Pichu. "Pi!" the tiny pokemon cried. Starla recalled Tatty and turned to the Pichu. "Shh.. Hush my little one. Don't worry. Everything will be alright." She said softly. The Pikachu tilted it's head and Surge arched an eyebrow again. When the Pichu was calm Starla stood and faced Surge.

"Your Pikachu woke him up. No more games. Slasher Lets go!"

"Slash!" Slasher called out when he came out of his pokeball.

"Alright Slasher, Dig!" The Sandslash vanished underground. The Pikachu looked around franticly to fin Slasher. "Come up and use Slash!"

Slasher came up right under Pikachu, sending it flying and white streaks flashed through the sky as he used Slash KOing the electric mouse.

"Raichu go!"

"Fury Swipes!"

Just as the Raicu came out, claws seemed to rain down upon it. It used a Mega Kick to escape it. Once both Pokemon recovered, Surge ordered a Mega punch, since the electric attack would not work. Slasher dug underground once again.

Things were not looking good for the Raichu.

Up Slasher came from the ground Under Raichu, Sending it flying and the white streaks flashed across the air as he used Slash to KO the older Evolution of the Chu line.

Surge recalled his pokemon as Slasher returned to Starla's side.

"I am sorry for waking up the baby," he stated, "But that was a very good battle. You earned this. Congratulations."

Starla accepted the badge and bowed to Surge. Slasher bowed as well. She turned to Slasher as she knelt down to collect the Pichu and her bag. "You were wonderful my friend. Lets go to the pokemon center now." With her bag on her back and the Pichu in her arms, Starla and Slasher walked out of the gym and to the pokemon Center.

[Kano]

Kano walked into the gym. "Here it goes. I am Kano, I seek the 3rd gym leader, I will earn the thunder badge." L.t Surge walked out from the shadows. "Hello, kid, you wanna battle me?" He said looking at Kano with a grin. "Yes, my pokemon may be weak against yours, but I will still try." Said Kano. "3 on 3." Said Kano. "Sure, why not." Said the Gym Leader. "You pick first" Said Kano. "Okay, Voltorb! I choose you!" The round red and white pokemon as released. "Squirtle, I choose you." Said Kano sending out the small turtle. "You attack first." Said Lt. Surge. "Okay, Squirtle, use watergun 3 times!" The 3 attacks came straight at the Voltorb. "Voltorb dodge it!" The Voltorb dodged the attack but got hit by the other 2, "Voltorb, use rollout!" The attack hit Squirtle. "Okay, now my Squirtle can only use watergun nothing else..." Said Kano in his head. "Squirtle use watergun 4 times!!!" That's what Squirtle did... He knocked out Voltorb. "Voltorb! Return! Pikachu your in!" The Voltorb was absorbed, and the Pikachu was sent out. "Pikachu use thundershock!" "Squirtle jump back and counter it with a watergun!" The watergun came right at Pikachu and hit it. "Squirtle use watergun again!" The water hit Pikachu. "Pikachu use quick attack!" The electric mouse was going to fast for Squirtle to dodge it. It hit Squirtle. "Squirtle, use watergun again!" The watergun hit tyhe Pikachu while it tried to dodge it. "Pikachu use thundershock!" The thunder hit Squirtle knocking it out. "Squirtle, return, Horsea, your in!!" The sea horse pokemon came out. "Horsea use focus energy then watergun!!!" The watergun was a critical hit and knocked out Pikachu. "Yeah! Good job Horsea!" "Okay, Pikachu, return! Raichu! Beat this fish now!" The Raichu was ready to fight. "Use thunder bolt!!!!" The thunder was coming straight at Horsea. "Horsea! Dodge it!" The Horsea tried to dodge it but failed, it was sent flying into the air. Then it began to fall, but Kano caught it before it was finished. "Hey Horsea, you still able to fight?" "Horsea." The Horsea nodded. "Okay..." "Horsea! Use watergun 4 times!" The four attacks hit the Raichu. "Raichu use thunder shock!" Horsea! Jumped back and show no mercy with watergun!" The Horsea shot about 7 watergun attacks. They all hit the Raichu. The Raichu got up all tired. "R-r-raichu..." "RAICHU GET BACK UP AND BEAT THAT FISH DOWN!!!" "Hey, Surge, be more nicer." Said Kano. "Raichu use thunder bolt!" The Raichu began to make electrical shocks, then it fell knocked out. "Yes!!! Horsea! Return!!!" Then Kano earned his badge and walked back to Vermillion City. (Moved to Vermillion City)

[Hiro Fenrir]

"I am here to defeat the gym leader!" Hiro said
"I guess you are, kid..." said the gym leader "In this gym the rules are simple: We both are using 3 pokémon each and only the challenger are allowed to withdraw his pokémon."
"Hm." said Hiro "Let's begin"
"Your move" said Surge
"Nidoking, I choose you!" with a type advantage like this, Hiro was sure to win the battle.

"Voltorb, go!"
"Nidoking, use horn attack!"
"Dodge, and use sonicboom!"
Nidoking took little damage from the sonicboom, but was almost undamaged.
"Nidoking, use horn attack again!" Nidoking got a critical hit at the Voltorb, and it fainted
"Hm." said Surge and withdrew his Voltorb "Not bad kid... Pikachu, I choose you!"
"Heh." said Hiro "Nidoking, quick, return!" Hiro withdrew his Nidoking and sent out Wartortle instead.
"You should have known that a water type is stupid to use against an electric type" said Surge
"Even a water-type can beat you pathetic team. Wartortle, use water gun, go!" said Hiro
The water gun hit Pikachu so it flew backwards and hit a wall.
"Pikachu, use shock wave, now!"
"Wartortle, dodge it!" said Hiro
"No one can dodge a shock wave. It will always hit it's target" said Lt. Surge smiling as pikachu's shock wave hit Wartortle.
"Wartortle, get up!" yelled Hiro. It did. "Now! Use water gun!" It hit Pikachu and almost fainted it, but it survived and Lt. Surge said: "Pikachu! Finnish him with thunderbolt!"
The thunderbolt hit Wartortle and fainted it.

"Hm." said Hiro "Wartortle, return. Go, Nidoking!"
"So, you are using your Nidoking again, huh?" said Surge "well this time it won't get so lucky! Pikachu, use tackle!"
"Nidoking, finnish him with horn attack!" said Hiro. both were hit, but since Surge's Pikachu already had taken some damage from Wartortle, it fainted while Nidoking survived.
"It's time to bring out my last and most powerful pokémon" said Surge "Go, Raichu!"

The evolved form of Pikachu appeared on the battle field.
"Whatever" said Hiro "Nidoking, use double kick!"
"Raichu! Dodge and use iron tail!" Raichu got a critical strike and fainted Nidoking.
"...... Nidoking return." said Hiro "Eevee, I choose you!"
"Heh. Raichu, use shock wave!" yelled Surge. It hit as always.
"Eevee use sand attack, and then use a quick attack!" Eevee hit with both it's attack and damaged Raichu.
"You okay, Raichu?" asked Surge "Great, use shock wave again!"
"Eevee!" said Hiro as it hit his Eevee.
"Now, Raichu, finnish him with thunder!" said Surge
"Dodge it and use quick attack!"

Raichu's thunder missed and Eevee slammed into Raichu with it's quick attack.
"Now, Eevee! Finnish him with another quick attack!"
Raichu crashed into the ground and fainted.
"..... Raichu, come back..." said Surge and withdrew his Raichu. "You have earned yourself the thunder badge. You could have made it good in the army when you grow up, kid"

"Hm." said Hiro and grabbed the badge and went out of the gym.

Zack walked in and asked Lt Surge "do you do double battles?" Surge replied with "yes I do you can use all your pokemon and ill use my three"

Zack said "Go Graveler and Kadabra" Surge said "go Voltorb and Pikachu"

"Now Graveler use EarthQuake and kadabra you use teleport to get out of the way" Zack said as a fierce earthquake rumbled on fainting both of Surges pokemon.
Surge said "No how can this be both of you retun" Then he said "alright go Raichu"
"Now use slam on graveler" gravler was continuosly slamed until Zack said "now Kadabra use psybeam on raichu" Surge then said "now use quick attack to dodge" Raichu dodged the attack and graveler got hit with a furious psybeam which fainted him Zack said "No, return and now go pidgeoto" Surge then yelled "use a shock wave on both of them" they were both hit and fainted Zack yelled "No you guys return" "now go wartorle and pikachu" "Now use Ice beam and surround it with a thunderbolt" "Hah!" yelled Surge the thunderbolted ice beam hit Raichu and did some damage then Surge said "Now use Thunder on Wartortle" Zack then yelled "No as wartorle fainted on the ground" "return" "now" both Surge and Zack said "Use thunder bolt on each other until one gives" Pikachu and Raichu went at it one thunder bolt after another until pikachu dodged and attacked which allowed raichu to be hit and fainted. "return" said Surge he also said "congrats youve earned the thunder badge" Zack then walked out of the gym for the next part of his journy.

[Richie Kindson]

Richie walked around the buckets and switches finally getting to sarge "lets battle" Richie said. Lt. Sarge laughed "saying you think you can beat me." Richie said "whatever just battle." Lt. sarge said "2on2" battle. "Ok" richie said. Sarge let out his raichu and voltorb. Richie let out Eevee and Nidorina. Eevee use shadow ball and nidorina poison sting. Raichu agility and Voltorb use shock wave. Eevee hit the voltorb with shadow ball and then was hit with Shock wave. Raichu doded the poison sting a little but was hit in the foot. Ok now nidorina doble kick the voltorb and eevee hop on to it. The nidorina easily hit the voltorb into a spinning rotation Eevee hopped off and used body slam. The voltorb fainted. Ok now raichu use the move we were praticing spark waves were cirling him and then he charged at nidorina banging it against the wall. It fainted instantly. Now then Eevee use shadow slam she first threw a shadow ball and then charged threw it and tackled Raichu and then it was hit by the shadow ball it was knocked out. Sarge said that was a pretty amazing move as he gave him the badge you did a great job. He left the gym smiling.

[Snow Cat]

Samatha entered the gym. After she found 2 switches and everything, she found Lt.Surge. "So your Lt.Surge," She said. "Let's go." Lt. Surge laughed. He sent out Voltorb. "Go Z-bat!" Samatha shouted. "Voltorb, sonic boom!" It hit Zubat very badly. "Z-bat, use supersonic!" Voltrb was left confused. "Voltorb, snap out of it!" Lt.Surge said. "Z-bat, tackle!" It tackled the voltorb. Voltorb soon snapped out of its confusion. "Voltorb, thundershock!" Thunder blasted out and hit Zubat. Zubat fainted. "Zubat, return!" Samatha called. "Go Tabby!" An Eevee popped out of the pokeball. "Shadow Ball!"The shadow ball hit Voltorb. "Take down!" It attacked Voltorb. At this point, voltorb was weak. "Voltorb, Thunderwave!" L. Surge called. Tabby was paralyzed. It couldn't move. "Now...Sonic Boom!" The sonic boom hit Eevee and it hurt it badly. I might loose this battle, Samatha thought. No, I can't! I must win! "Eevee, return Go Ratty!" Rattata came out of the pokeball. "Rattata, bite!" That last move by Rattata knocked out Voltorb. "Voltorb, return. Go Pikachu!" "Rattata, quick attack! The rattata ran and hit Pikachu. "Pikachu, iron tail"The iron tail whacked Rattata. "Rattata, Super fang!" It bit Pikachu painfully. "Pikachu!" Lt.Surge's pikachu whined. "Now, Rattata.........super fang again!" This one knocked out that Pikachu. "Grrr.....Go Raichu!" Lt. Surge said after returning Pikachu to its pokeball. "Raichu, tail whip!" Rattata's defense was lowered. "Now, thundershock!" It hit rattata. Rattata got back up, panting. "Rattata, tackle!" He gave Raichu a weak hit. "Raichu, quick attack!" Lt. Surge ordered as Raichu ran at great speed and struck Rattata. It fainted. "Ratty, return! Go Mankey!"Samamatha called. "Mach Punch!" It punched Raichu hard. Raichu went flying accross the gym. "Now, Mankey. Scratch!" It scratched Raichu. "Raichu, thunderbolt!" a bolt of thunder hit Mankey. "Mankey, quick attack!"It hitRaichu. "Now, Mach Punchh!" Samatha had won the battle. "Yeah!" she cheered. "Here is your badge," He said handing her the badge. She walked out of the gym.

Dale walked into the Gym and walked straight up to L.T surge.
Dale: I'm here to challenge you for your badge.
Surge: Stupid kid, I'll thrash you, two on two, seperate.
Dale: Well, i was hopeing for a 3 on 3 seperate.
Surge: Shut up and battle.
Dale: Go pucks.
Surge: Go voltorb, this is going to be too easy. Thunder bolt, then again.
Dale: Dodge, quick attack and then zap it.
Thats what pucks did but the voltorb was not badly hurt.
Surge: Self destruct.
Voltorb blew up knocking pucks across the field, hardly constious.
Dale: Pucks, are you ok?
Pucks: Pika(Yes)
Surge: Thats odd, i was expecting to take out your rat with that blast, Go Riachu.
Dale: pucks zap it.
Within seconds Dale was recalling pucks, th poor pokemon, he had tried his best.

Dale: Go Horn head, no your still ill.
But before Dale could put the pokeball away, Horn head burst out, insiting to fight.
Horn head: Nid, nid, nidoran.(oh, common, i can win, you need me for this.)
Dale: No, Horn head. oh alright, tackle, then horn attack.
After the attack riachu was just about able to fight back, with a thunder shock, but Horn head was hardly affected and spiked it again, It was unabled to battle.
Dale: I win, hand over the badge.

Surge: What do you mean, i've got another pokemon to use. I choose my pikachu.
Dale: You cheat. Go Horn head, use horn attack.
The battel going well for Dale until a red energy sprung from Horn head and he fell.
"Nidoran is unable to battle. Pikachu wins."
Dale: Well done. Go Abra.

Abra:(In Dales head) I will win this for you. Let us battle.
Dale: Phsycic, throw it away. The teleport behind it, use your mental power.
After the phsycic pokemon was finished so was the match abra was so powerful now.
Surge: Oh, You win. I, here is your badge for winning.
Dale: Thanks, Well good luck running your gym.

As headed into the gym.He challenged Lt.Surge to battle.The gym leader accepted and told the gym rules.They have to use 3 pokemons.Only the trainer can change their pokemon in between the battle.

As they two started Lt.Surge called out Voltorb and Jack called out butterfree.Voltorb use thunderwave Surge shouted.Dodge it Butterfree Jack called.But butterfree was'nt very fast and the attack worked butterfree was paralyzed.As seeing the oppurtunity Surge called voltorb to use thundershock.Butterfree was badly hurt but managed to get out of paralyzation.Butterfree use solarbeam Jack shouted.Voltorb use thundershock Surge shouted.But butterfree was already charged up and pushed back thundershock fainting voltorb.The referee declared that voltorb is unable to battle.Surge called back voltorb and called pikachu.Pikachu use Thunderbolt and directly hit butterfree butterfree use whirlwind Jack commanded.It was not very effective but somehow damaged pikachu.Butterfree use solarbeam Jack shouted.Pikachu use thunder Surge commanded.As butterfree was charging thunder hit butterfree.Butterfree fell onto the ground but was trying to fly.As it was a good oppurtunity for Surge he called pikachu to use irontail.Pikacku use irotail fainting butterfree to ground.The referee declare that butterfree is unable to battle.Jack called back his pokemon and choose spearow.

Pikachu use thunderwave Surge called.Spearow use gust.The waves crashed onto the wall.Spearow use peck Jack commanded that hit pikachu.But pikachu was'nt fainted and used thunderbolt.Spearow dodge it and use wing attack Jack commanded.It hit pikachu knocking on the ground.The referee declared that pikachu is unable to battle.Surge called back their pokemon and called raichu out of pokeball.Jack knows that it is a very powerful pokemon Because it is the final form of pichu then they continued.

Raichu use thunderbolt It hit directly fainting spearow to the ground.Jack called back spearow and called out wartortle as Jack it was Disadvantage to wartortle but did not worry.
