"Let's go," Aaron said, his eyes twinkling in anticipation. He jumped off the bench and pointed to Route 11. "Let's go! Ladies first." Aaron motioned for Maria to go, while he would be heading up the rear.

Harry exited the gym, and headed for the Pokemon Center, noticing Aaron and Maria, but only briefly.
He healed all his Pokemon and released Voltorb.
"You were mint. Great battling." Harry said, giving him a treat. Voltorb buzzed happily. He was growing bigger, and would soon be fully grown, and no longer a baby.
Harry looked down the Routes towards Rock Tunnel. "What do you reckon? Go now, or wait?"
Voltorb buzzed enthusiastically.
Harry grinned. "I'll take that as a yes, shall I?" He said, standing up and setting off towards Route 11, and Rock Tunnel.

"Smooth," Maria told Jin, picking herself up off the ground then helping him back to his feet. "Where you off to in such a rush?"

"Seriously," Aaron said, "Dude, that was really clumsy. Anyways, Maria, meet me at Route 11. I'll be waiting." Aaron waved to Jin and Maria before running off.

"Are you coming with us to Celadon?" Maria asked him before calling Chardar back down to her. He landed with a thunk next to his trainer.
*Waiting for you to catch up.
Maria climbed atop her Charizard, waving to Jin, saying that she'd meet him later. And flew off to the Rock Tunnel.

Harry arrived back in Vermilion City, knowing it as a popular place to fish. He headed straight for the Fishing Shop, hoping that they had some decent rods in stock.
He pushed open the door, and a middle-aged man looked at him from behind the desk. "Hi son! What can I do for you?" He asked, obviously pleased to have a customer.
Harry had chosen the small, local fishing shop over the larger stores because they might know where to find good Magikarp.
"Hey there. I was wondering what good fishing rods you have?" Harry asked, hoping for some good advice.
The man smiled. "What might you be fishing for?" He asked. Harry nodded. "I want to catch a Magikarp."
The man almost laughed. "They don't need a rod! You can almost grab them out of the water. But if you want a good quality rod anyway, I would suggest this one." He took a medium-sized rod out of it's rack, and dusted it down a bit. "The Fisher 100. Good for beginners, and for shallow fishing. If you need to fish a bit deeper..."
Harry shook his head. "Nah, the Fisher 100 will do me fine."
The man put it down on the counter. "Now, I would suggest you buy a DeepSea 12 for your reel, and some soft PokeFood for bait. Is that all?"
Harry looked around the shop. "What would you suggest if I was going to take fishing up as a serious hobby?" He asked, quite interested by the idea of fishing. He had got a fair bit of money stashed away, and it would be a worthwhile thing to buy...
The man smiled. "Ah, you want to take it up! Well then, you come through to the back room young man!" He said, opening a concealed curtain.
Harry went through, and took a seat.
The man took the other seat, and smiled.
"Now, my name is Gustav. Yours?" Gustav said.
"Harry. Pokemon Trainer." Harry said.
"Now, Harry, if you're sure you want to invest in it, I could give you some good advice, and tell you what to buy." Gustav said.
"Thanks. I would appreciate that." Harry said.
"OK Harry, let's get started.
Rod. You're gonna want something slightly better than the Fisher 100, that's really only for people who want one Pokemon and one Pokemon only. If you want to just see what you can catch, I would suggest this."
Gustav went over to the corner and got out another medium-sized rod, but this one had a more flexible end, and looked a lot more professional.
"This is my own creation, one-of-a-kind. I call it 'Amium Pro'. It's for beginners, so it isn't too hard to work, but it has great capabilities, and will extend to 100 feet below surface without becoming unstable. That means that it can catch medium-deep Pokemon without a problem, and almost every Pokemon in a shallow lake. It's made from light-weight Amium, found only in Hoenn, under the sea, near Sootopolis. It's quite flexible, so it can take a lot of strain.
Reel. Now, you're going to want another one of my creations, the reel for this specific rod. Now, as it is rod-specific, it will be a lot easier to use, and will work a lot better than the mass-produced stuff. The line is made from ultra-tough Ariados web, from my very own Ariados. It will take almost 15000 pounds of pressure before it will snap, and the only Pokemon that can exert than much is a frenzied Gyarados, so it isn't suitable for the Lake of Rage. It extends 150 feet, and has a smooth reel in, which makes reeling those Pokemon in a lot easier. The handle is made of pure Flamewood, from Hoenn again, this time Fortree City."
Harry already knew this. Almost his entire house was made of Flamewood and Dearlwood.
"It is polished, so spinning it around is all that much easier. OK, that's the rod and reel sorted, now we get complicated.
I would suggest you buy a sun hat, because you will get sunburnt on a really sunny day. I have some professional fisherman's ones if you like. What colour?" Gustav asked.
Harry thought for a moment. "You got Dark Green?" He asked. Gustav an his hand along a row, then picked one up. "Yup. Here you are."
Harry smiled. The hat looked great.
Gustav thought for a moment. "Now. Bait. I have a fair bit of good quality Soft PokeFood, but I would suggest that you use this stuff."
He produced a packet that read:
Sammy's Soft PokeFood.
Packaged individually, perfect for fishing bait. With added berries and vitamin extracts.
Harry took the packet, and put it next to the hat.
"That food is the best in the business. Now, what next? Ah yes, kit. I would strongly recommend this." Gustav said, getting out a dark blue case.
On it, it said:
Your Name Here
Fishing Tackle and Kit Bag.
Harry opened it up. Inside were all sorts of lures, feathers, and spinners for luring Pokemon to the bait, there was a torch, a lunchbox (with an extra compartment for Pokemon Food,) all sorts of compartments for your Rod, reel, hat, chair, bait, everything. It even included 5 Net Balls and 5 Dive Balls from Devon Corp.
Harry grinned. "Great. Looks good."
Gustav smiled. "It will also fit nicely inside your pack. I think that's everything."
Harry nodded, picking all the stuff up. "How much do I owe you?" He asked, going through to the shop out front.
Gustav added up mentally. "P5250. I'm not gonna charge you for the rod, as long as whenever you need supplies, you make sure you order stuff from here. OK?" He said.
Harry counted out the coins and nodded. "Sure."
Gustav put the money away in the till, and Harry put the Kit Bag in his Pack.
Harry looked at Gustav again. "Now, what the the best fishing spots in Kanto?" Harry asked.
Gustav smiled. "I would suggest fishing off Cinnabar Island, Cerulean City, and here in Vermilion, off the pier. If you want to go out to sea a bit, I would suggest south of Fuchsia, in a boat."
Harry grinned. "OK, got it. See you Gustav!" He said leaving the shop.
He went to the waters edge, only a few metres away, and set up his kit.
He sat down, and cast his rod out watching the line bob about in the water.
A few hours later, when there hadn't been a single bite, Harry gave up for the day. It was getting dark. He rested up, then decided to try out Cinnabar Island the next day.

Entering the town for what seemed like the first time, the silver haired trainer looked around and took in a breath of the sea air. She felt at home. "The air here reminds me of my Island." She said in her normal soft voice as she smiled.

Starla nodded and sent out her Sandshrew, Slasher. This was the pokemon that she was going to use against the gym leader. She wanted him to be as tough as he could be to ward off the electric attacks.

Starla let out an involuntary yelp at the attack. "Slasher dodge it!" she cried as the fire attack engulfed the sandshrew. When the attack stopped Slasher was curled up into a protective ball but was singed rather badly. She took a step towards the pokemon but halted as the ground pokemon uncurled itself. "S..slasher? Are you alright?"
"Shrew!" the sandshrew stated firmly as it shook of the attack. Yes it had done a lot of damage but the young pokemon wanted nothing more then to show his trainer that she didn't have to worry about him.
"Fury Swipes!" Starla stated and Slasher ran in for the attack.
OOC: half health. Your turn. how much damage has been done?
