Route 25: Trainer Bridge - Bill's Cottage

This route is infested with Hikers. It is their meeting place after travelling through Mt. Moon, so get your Water types ready!

There is no long grass on this route.

Bills' House

Bill's house is also on this route. He loves visitors, and is happy to show off his PC system to all trainers!

Harry made his way through the massive Hikers meet without too much difficulty. He surfaced on the other side, and saw Bill's Cottage up ahead. He grinned and jogged towards it.

He knocked, and a medium-sized man with messy brown hair appeared from behind it.

"Hey, I'm Bill." He said, showing Harry in.

Harry smiled. "I'm Harry. Nice to meet you." He said, taking a seat.

Bill made no attempt to hide a absolutely massive mess.

Harry grinned. "I hear you have a collection of rare Pokemon?" He asked.
Bill nodded. "Sure do. Want to see them? Come out back." He said, leading the way towards a small door.

Harry followed him into a big sort of garden, which was full of Pokemon.

Harry was amazed. There were loads! He got out his Pokedex.

He walked up to the nearest Pokemon.

Jynx, an Ice pokemon.
It said. Harry moved over to the next.
Magmar, a fire pokemon.
Harry grinned. "They're amazing!" He smiled.
Bill grinned. "Oh, hey. One thing. Be right back." Bill said, disappearing into the undergrowth.

He reappeared with what seemed to be a massive Pokeball in his arms. Harry looked at it quizzically.

Bill handed it to Harry.
"It's a Voltorb. I got it from an egg, and it wants it's mother. I can't really control it, and I was hoping a trainer might be able to gain it's trust." Bill said.

Harry looked at Voltorb, which had it's eyes tightly shut.
"I'll see what I can do." Harry said, putting it into a Pokeball. "Thanks Bill."
Bill nodded. "Nice to see you Harry."

Harry went out through the gate, and set off back to Cerulean down the back road.

[Mariah Wolff]

Maria walked along the path past trainers with their pokemon, declining a battle if she had the choise. She heard a younger boy talking with another trainer as he held onto his sandshrew, "Sandshrew didn't stand a chance against that Bulbasaur..."

Wow, Harry's fast... She thought, He already beat the Gym and visited Bill....

Eve was resting on her shoulder when she knocked on the door. "Hello."

"Hi, I'm guessing you're a trainer. And, you have an Eevee!" Bill said smiling, "Come in, come in." He led her inside, "As you probably know, I'm Bill, nice to meet you."

She shook his hand, "Nice to meet you too, I'm Maria."

"So what brings you up here on this fine day?" He asked as he shuffled through his papers and looked around for somthing.

"Just to meet you. I've heard so much about you and would never miss an opportunity to talk to you." She said watching him.

"Ah, I'm flattered." He said, giving up, "Would you like to accompany me outside? I have to feed my pokemon." He said.

"Sure, I'd love to!" Maria said.

The two walked outside into Bill's Garden, "Wow, you have lots of different pokemon!" Maria said to him.

"Yes! I find them all so fasinating," He told her as he walked over to a ponyta to feed it. "I find Eevee one of the most. With seven different evolutions I know that there is still so much to learn about pokemon, we never will truly know everything about them...." He started, going into a sort of rant while Maria watched a Dewgong jump in and out of the water. She looked around for Eve, he had jumped off her shoulder and started snooping around in the grass. She spotted him. The sun hit somthing hidden behind the tall grass, it shined for a moment before Maria rushed over and picked up Eve.

"What is is?" Bill asked, snapping out of it.

"Oh," Maria said turning to him. "Nothing, Eve found a Fire Stone on the ground over there and I really don't want him to evolve..."

"Ah, that's what I was looking for!" Bill said, picking it up.

"Glad you found it," She said, stroking Eve.

"I was going to ask you, what pokemon would you have your Eevee evolve into?" He asked her.

"Well...If I HAD to...it would probably be an Umbreon I think..." She said.

"Ah, no evolution stones for you then." He said to Eve, smiling. "And might I ask which other pokemon you have?"

"A Charmeleon and a Pidgeotto." She said to him. Her pokeballs flashed and in a bright red light Ace and Chardar were standing at her side.

He laughed, "I see... They both seem well trained." Bill said. "Well here, I'm going to give this to you." He said, handing her the Fire Stone. "I'm always happy to help out a fellow pokematic. Especially if they know what they want to do with their Eevee. Sometimes pokemon can change when they evolve...and it seems you've had that Eevee for a long time, wouldn't want to ruin a friendship..." He said walking back towards the house.

As she said good-bye she said, "Thanks for the FireStone Bill, It was really great to meet you."

"Come back when your Eve's evolved, or when ever you get another chance. I hope to see you again soon!" Bill said, waving as she walked off towards Cerulean City.

Aaron made his way through the maze of Hikers, and passed the bridge without being challenged. He was quick on his feet, with all of his Pokemon in their respective Poke'Balls. Aaron had finally made it to Bill's Cottage.

Bill's cottage was small by all means, but the outside was cluttered and very messy. Aaron walked inside, where he found Bill covered in black soot. "Mr. Bill," Aaron said, running up towards him, "Are you okay?" Bill wheezed slightly and smiled. "Yes, yes, just dandy. I had a little overheat with HyperCombinerTranslator 500.398." "Huh?" "Never mind," Bill said, "I'm so sorry to worry you... oh, where are
my manners? What's your name?" "Er... Aaron," Aaron said, ever slightly awkwardly, "Aaron Nightshadow."

"Hello, Aaron," Bill said, "So, you have come here to see my collection? Four young men and ladies have come here today. They're names were Harry, Jin, Maria and Pokestar. They all came from Pallet Town, too." "Hey," Aaron exclaimed, "They must be the trainers I'm after!" "Yes, yes," Bill said.

"So Mr. Bill," Aaron said, "I was wondering if I could see your Pokedex?" "Oh my, of course," Bill said, "But I only currently have my Eeveedex working, because I tried to tinker with my Pokedex's quad-processor, and all the data got ripped into my Alumastar 2000 harddrive, whose access port is..." "...thank you, Mr. Bill," Aaron said, "But I don't really need to know all the details." "Oh, of course, silly me," Bill said as he rummaged through his drawers, finally finding his Eeveedex.

"Here you go," he said, hooking it up to a dual projector, showing both sides of the Eeveedex. "Cool!" Aaron said, looking at the different forms of Eevee. "Is that what my shiny Eevee will look like?" Bill fell over. "You have a shiny Eevee? Show me, please!!" "Sure," Aaron said, releasing Celeste, who was toying with her paws. "A shiny Eevee, good lord," Bill said, studying her.

"This is one of the rarest shiny Pokemon you could get," Bill said, after examining her thoroughly, "I usually don't do this, but I will give you any stone or shard, including a chunk of the rare Sinnoh cool or moss rock, to you. Just tell me which type." Aaron pondered for a minute and finally said, "I'll take the Dark Shard for now." Bill went back and came back with a extremely dark Shard. "Here you go," Bill said. Beep, beep. "Oh, I must be going!" said Bill, "I'm sorry. It was extremely pleasant to meet you." "Thank you," Aaron said, "You too."

After departing from the eccentric genius's house, Aaron decided to hunt for some Pokemon. He went into the grass and immediately found a Nidorino grazing. "Go Blazer!" Blazer spun in the air and landed acrobatically on the ground. The Nidorino's disturbed lunch turned quickly into fury. "Blazer, use Ember!" Blazer used Ember, and dodged a Horn Attack from Nidorino's poisonous horns. "Blazer, keep on using it! Don't use any close combat moves, just keep a distance!" Blazer nodded, and continued to jump, dodge and use fiery Embers. Blazer finally struck a critical hit onto Nidorino, who almost fainted. Aaron had a ball ready, so he immediately threw it at Nidorino, who was caught instantaneously. "Great job, Blazer!" Aaron yelled, "That was the best strategy we've seen yet!"

Aaron ran down to the Pokemon Center in Cerulean, where he healed and ran to the gym, happy with his newly caught Pokemon.

pokestar walked in bill's house with gt bill and pokestar and gt talked pokestar and gt got the chance to look at the eveelotions bill was inpressed with them ang gave gt and pokestar 2 extra eevees pokestar'thanks bill bye i gotta go

Oddly enough, no hikers were in the mood to battle so Shadow walked straight through them and knocked on bill's door. A man with messy hair and broken glasses came to the door. His house was a mess, full of odd machines and pokemon.

The man looked at Shadow. "Oh, you're a trainer! Come in, come in! I was looking for a trainer, i have something very special here, but i need a strong trainer to use it. Do you have any gym badges?"
"yes, i have the boulder badge!"
Bill examined the badge and then the nidorina
"You're clearly strong, here take this EEVEE"
"Wow, an eevee! why's it grey, is it sick?"
"Oh, no, far from it! its a special SHINY eevee!" bill stated cheerfully
"Shiny?? Why would you give it to me?"
"I want this special eevee to be trained well. In fact, here, pick one of these 3 STONES to evolve it. Theres fire, water, and electric, which do you want?
Shadow thought back to the vaporeon he battled in the cave. "Water please"
"Okaaaaaay then! here, give eevee this stone and it will evolve into a vaporeon!"
"Wow, thanks so much bill!" Shadow placed the water stone in front of eevee, it sniffed it and started glowing. Eevee evolved into vaporeon.

Shadow received shiny Vaporeon

"Bye bill! Thanks again!"
"Don't mention it! Come back when it is LEVEL 30 and i will reward you for training it so well!"
"Will do, see ya bill!"

Shadow walked out the door, grinning from ear to ear at bill's kindness

Seth walked up to Bill's house and decided to check the backyard for Bill, because his house was empty. Indeed, he was back there, so Seth introduced himself. " Hi. I'm Seth."
"Nice to meet you. I'm Bill." " Bill, I wanted to know if you knew how to get a Magikarp." ' Yes, I do." Here, take this fishing rod. You can catch Magikarp with it." " Thanks." So Seth went to the pond in front of Bill, and hooked a Magikarp, and caught it.

Adam went to Bills house and knocked on the door and Bill (In the Game Adams cousin) answered "Hi Bill, Mum said you had a gift for me!"
"Well yes I do except your mum was wrong: I have 2 gifts for you! No wait 3" Bill caught his breath and went inside and came out with a Red Pokeball, A thunder stone and a Master Ball!
"Wow whats in the pokeball?"
"An Eevee"
"but hang on, aint that a master ball?"
"Its empty it for if you see a legendary pokemon, you can catch it"
"Thanks cousin"
Adam left to go back to the The trainer bridge and went to Battle Misty

[Hiro Fenrir]

After passing a group of trainers, and ignoring them as he does with every trainer he see, Hiro finally arrived at the sea cottage

"Yo, bud!" the man said "I'm Bill!"
"Like I care who you are" answered Hiro "I'm here for the pokémon I hear you are giving away"
"Hm. I thought so. Well it's actually my favourite pokémon, Eevee!" Bill showed him the Eevee.
"You mean I came this far only to get a weak-looking NORMAL type pokémon?" said Hiro
"Eevee is different from other pokémon. Like most pokémon evolves only to one or in some cases two different kinds of pokémon, Eevee can evolve into SEVEN different pokémon, all of them different types! There are three different ways to evolve an Eevee: three forms is evolved by an evolution stone, two is evolved in different places in the Sinnoh region and the last two is evolved when Eevee is really happy with it's trainer." said Bill
"..." Hiro looked at him.
"And since evolution stones are so extremly rare, and we aren't in the Sinnoh region, you must treat your Eevee with love and care to make it evolve! Haha! That will do something with your attitude I guess!" laughed Bill
"Shut up. I'm leaving." said Hiro and took the pokéball containing Eevee.

Well out of Bill's cottage Hiro sent out his Eevee. "Well, atleast I'll give you a chance by testing your powers in a battle" The Eevee looked happily at him. They walked down the route until they saw that boy Hiro had said to that he wouldn't battle. "I'll try that little trainer challenge of yours"
"Great!" said the boy. he looked like one of those pathetic bug-catchers Hiro had seen in Viridian Forest. "The first opponent is me! Go Metapod!"
Hiro sent out Eevee

"Ok, Eevee, use quick attack!" Eevee hit the metapod so hard that it fainted in one blow. "What!?" the bug-catcher said "Metapod, come back! Ok, Kakuna, I choose you! Kakuna use harden!"
"Eevee use sand-attack!" the sand hit Kakunas eyes
"Kakuna, use tackle!" due to the sand in it's eyes, Kakuna couldn't see the Eevee coming from behind. "Now Eevee, use quick attack!" the Kakuna fell forwrd to the ground
"Kakuna!" the bug-catcher said.
"Eevee! Jump up and finnish him with quick attack!" Kakuna fainted and both Hiro and the bug-catcher withdrew their pokémon. Hiro was impressed by Eevees power and decided to keep it on his team.

After three more successfull battles with Eevee defeating all it's opponent's, Eevee was too tired to fight in the last battle in the challenge. Hiro then thought of his Nidoking he hadn't tested after it evolved.

The last trainer was a girl about the same age as Hiro.
"Hey!" said the girl "aren't you that boy I met at Mt. Moon?"
"Maybe I am? So what" said Hiro
"Because I'm gonna do something about your arrogance by defeating you in battle!"
"Like you ever will..."
"In this battle we are only allowed to use one pokémon each! Which pokémon are you going to use?" said the girl
Hiro smiled and sent out Nidoking
The girl smiled too and said:
"Go! Nidoqueen!"

Around them stood all the other trainers Hiro had defeated earlier. In fact, every other trainer in the area stood around them to watch the match. The girl must be quite famous here, thought Hiro. Still, Hiro was sure he would win this battle as every other battle he had fought.

"Ok, Nidoqueen, use double kick!" said the girl
"We'll use double kick too, Nidoking!" said Hiro
The two pokémon hit eachother at once making both fly to in different directions.
"Nidoking, charge it with horn attack!"
"Nidoqueen! Counter it with bite!"
Nidoking's horn attack struck Nidoqueen before it could do anything and it was tossed to the ground. Hiro thought he had won the battle already and turned around to leave. Suddenly, the Nidoqueen raised to it's feet.
"Did you really thought we would give up that easily?" smiled the girl.
"I did" said Hiro "Nidoking! Finnish it with horn attack!"
"Dodge it and use double kick!" the Nidoqueen leaped into the air and hit Nidoking in the head so it crashed into the ground.
"Get up, Nidoking!" said Hiro. Nidoking barely managed to raise up.
Hiro and the girl looked at each other in the same way Nidoking and Nidoqueen were looking at each other. They all felt that they had to win this.
"Nidoqueen, finnish him with bite!"
"Nidoking, finnish her with horn attack!"
This caused both pokémon to fell to the ground after being pushed by the other to each side of the battle field. They both fainted, and the battle ended with a tie.

"That was the most incredible battle I've had in my entire life!!" said the girl. The other trainers who watched the battle were gone now. "Even you got to agree that was an amazing battle!?"
"... I guess it was" said Hiro
"What if you come with me to the pokémon center in Cerulean? You gotta heal your pokémon there anyway don't you?"
"... Whatever, I'll come"

Meaghan came to the conclusion she hated Hikers and their rocky, dirty Pokemon. Nothing but trouble and a lot of hurt for her team. Though Deviant helped a great deal, the Mankey was still very distant from the team, even aloof and a bit depressed, likely still missing her old trainer.

The team continued on, pausing a few times to heal and eat, before they finally broke free of the trainers to reach the infamous cottage of Bill. After a polite knock on the door, Meaghan stepped inside.

"Ah, hello hello! Oh! Aren't you Meaghan, Elaine the Breeder's daughter?" Said Bill as he spied the girl.

"Oh, yes I am." Responded Meaghan.

"Excellent! I was hoping a breeder would stop by. I know you're just starting, but, I've a rather unique problem that I... hate to admit I'm stumped on. One of my cousins over in Hoenn sent me this little lady," He said, holding out a pure white ball banded in a simple line of red around the middle. "She's due to lay an egg, but... I'm a collector, not a breeder! I'd feel a lot safer putting her in the hands of a breeder and I've worked with Elaine before, I know you'll know what to do."

Blinking in shock, Meaghan took up the ball. "I uh... are you sure?" Just then, Deviant came out of her Pokeball, intent on knowing what the fuss was about.

"My my, that's a perfect specimen of a Mankey!" Bill said with a bright smile, "May I take a better look at her? My one friend in Sinnoh is a trainer of primate Pokemon, she'd get a blast seeing this one."

"Well, Deviant here doesn't seem very happy with us. Maybe I'll trade you officially? This Pokemon for Deviant? She can stay with you and then go to your friend who I'm sure will be able to take excellent care of her. What do you say, Deviant? Pleanty of other primate Pokemon for you to be with?" The Mankey seemed delighted by the idea, and so it was settled.

Outside, Meaghan released the newly aquired Pokemon and gasped aloud in surprise. It was an eeveelution, but one like she'd never seen. Soft suede-like tan fur, sprouting with rich green leaves. It was small for a Leafeon, delicate and slender, even if her middle was distended by egg. "Afeeeon?" She trilled up to Meaghan, who was near to tears as she stroked the elegant head of the Leafeon. "Oh.. Bill didn't tell me you're name... how about, um... we call you Terra?" The Pokemon was quite pleased by this as she leaned her head into Meaghan's palm. "Mom's not going to believe this. I promise, I'll take perfect care of you."

Richie walked to bill's ouse he heard many people talk about how great he was. He was knocked on the door and Bill opened it saying "Hi i'm bill" Richie replied saying "hi my name is richie i heard about how you from some people so i came to see you." "Do you have any pokemon" Bill asked He took out his pokeball and out came nidorina, abra, ivysaur, Pikachu, and ratatta. "How about i give you a pokemon Bill said there is alredy enough eevee running around here. He had been given the ball by bill and opened it revealing a evee. Richie said "thank you" as he left having to return to cerulan city.
