This is going to be my one and only explanation of getting pokemon.Better read it carefully and throughly. If someone asks how to get a pokemon please direct them straight to this post.
Step 1: Go to the KANTO (you start in Kanto, not Jhoto or even Hoenn) lab and ask professor Oak for a starter pokemon. Your choices are the following: Squirtle (water type), bulbasaur (grass type), and charmander (fire type).
Step 2: Wait for the Professor (an admin/mod) to give you the pokemon of your choice.
You now have your starter pokemon!!!
Step 3: Now you can go to the first route, route 1. There, you rp a battling scenario. Example: "Charmander, start it off with a scratch attack!" The charmander lunged forward and scratched the foe. So on and so on. If you need rp tutoring or want to learn how to rp, you can come to me or any of the other rp tutors for help.
Step 4: Now that you know how to rp and you've started making scenarios, you can rp catching a pokemon. Try to make catching pokemon as realistic as possible. In the games, on your first battle you wouldn't see a lugia lv.100 (QUICK HINT: You can NEVER, I repeat, NEVER catch a legendary pokemon on this game), same goes for here. The pokemon your going to find on route 1 are pidgey's and ratata's lv.'s 1-5. You start out with 5 pokeballs. Keep track of them. Those are the only free 5 pokeballs you'll ever get. (you have to go to a pokemart to buy more) You can catch pokemon in your battling scenario's. Just make catching realistic too. In the games your not going to walk up to pokemon every time and throw a pokeball as your first move and catch it every time you try, that's not going to happen here either. pokemon get weaker the more you attack them. The more you attack them the weaker they get. Occasionally you will catch a pokemon with a pokeball as your first move, just not every time.
Thank you for taking the time to read this tutorial on catching pokemon.
