This gym either has 1-on-1 matches or 2-on-2 matches.The challenger decides. No double battles are allowed.
The challenger releases their Pokemon before the leader for a tougher battle experience. If challenger chooses 2-on-2 match the challenger can switch Pokemon during rounds while the leader cannot.
