Aaron strode into the forest, a pair of working poots rustling against the overgrown bushes. Aaron had a pair of athletic pants on, and a sweatshirt that read 'Ironstar Island Football'. A baseball cap on, Aaron meant no nonsense. He was going to go intense if he was going to defeat Drake.
Hurling out all his Pokemon, Aaron checked their status and found each one to be in healthy condition. Blazer was just beginning to grow in his adult molars, while Blaster's shell was getting harder, Celeste's fur was growing glossier, Tanith's eyes were slowly changing to a darker color, Shijon was learning more martial arts, Sheik's spores were opening up, and were basically ready for evolution.
"Friends," Aaron said seriously, "We are going to do some extreme training. Anyone is welcome to abstain, but then you will not be prepared to fight further. Any questions?" The rest of his companions didn't budge, bravely facing the task ahead of them. Aaron broke a quick assuring smile to some of the younger Pokemon.
Aaron located a flock of Pidgey, and told Shijon, Sheik, and Tanith to go in and attack as many as possible. The Pidgey were unusually high in level, but the three charged with bravery. Shijon used a series of fighting techniques, while Sheik used status-changers to make it easier, and Tanith binding and slash other Pidgey with Vine Whips and Leaf Blades.
Training for about an hour, Aaron had moved on from Pidgey to Marill, and then to Sunkern. With each new opponent, Aaron's three fighting friends grew several levels. While fighting, Blaster swam several hundred laps while dodging some angry Marills, while Blazer honed his accuracy aiming at the agile and well-maneuvered Ledyba.
Celeste had been doing an obstacle course set up by Mother Nature, and everything was going well. They all grew several levels, but were extremely exhausted.
After taking a quick break, Aaron spotted a Heracross and Houndoor preparing an ambush. Aaron motioned to Tanith and Sheik, but Shijon had already sensed them and had told the two. The shroom and lizard stealthily sneaked up from behind. Suddenly, Sheik used a Stun Spore, paralyzing the fire-effective hound. Tanith bound the Heracross with vines, and started to pound away at his face. Heracross struggled, but gave up and fainted. Houndoor was struggling as well, while Sheik provided several moves that knocked them out cold.
Aaron was about to go over and congratulate the two, when suddenly they both glowed. Tanith evolved into a Grovyle, and Sheik evolved into a Breloom. Aaron beamed at the two newly-evolved creatures and sent them over to the rest of the group, while he took two balls and captured the fainted ambushers. Walking through the forest back to town, Aaron smiled as he looked at his well-trained, newly-evolved, and sharp-sensed companions.
