SnowClan and SkyClan have lived together in peace for many moons; but recently, the peace has been broken...
Sharpclaw, the SkyClan deputy, is currently in an argument with his leader, Leafstar, over the territory divisions.
Dapplestar, the SnowClan leader, struggles to balance her duties as Clan leader and her responsibility as a mother to Bubblewhisker's kits: Shadowkit, Jaykit, and Mintkit.
Honeyheart, a SnowClan she-cat, has bred with Sparrowpelt of SkyClan, creating half-Clan kits. But Honeyheart must keep Heatherkit's, Fernkit's, Dawnkit's, and Aloekit's true identities a secret.
At the same time, both Clan medicine cats suffer from either lack of self-esteem or must struggle with what is forbidden; Echosong is depressed because she does not yet have an apprentice, while Lillypool must hide a dark secret: she is expecting kits.
