Brock takes initiative.
Goedude tackle!
Geodude charges at pikachu to throw a full-force tackle, but pikachu is much faster and dodges the attack.
Forox: Pikachu, thundershock!
pikachu launches a thundershock. Unfortunately, being a rock type, it doesn't do any damage.
forox (thinks): I forgot, this really won't work.
Forox: Pikachu return, Bulbasaur lets do this!
Forox retuns pikachu to its ball and takes out his bulbasaur.
Forox: Bulbasaur, leech seed!
Bulbasaur launches a seed from its bulb and it hits the geodude.
The seeds entangle the geodude and drain its energy. Still, geodude managed to get in a direct hit tackle. Bulbasaur is blown back. The energy he gets from the leech seed is greater than the energy he lost, though, that means that after a while, the geodudes energy is drained completely.
Referee: Geodude is unable to battle. Bulbasaur is the winner!
Brock: Geodude return!
Geodude returns to his Pokeball.
Brock: You did a good job Geodude. Take a good long rest.
Brock looks at Forox.
Brock: good job, but you'll need more than a leech seed to beat onix!
Brock throws the pokeball containing his onix and In a burst of red light his giant rock snake emerges.

Shadow confidently headed to the gym.
"Hello, im hear for my first gym badge?." he called out as he entered the rock feilded Gym.
"Hmm you sound confident, then i accept you'r challenge." said brock coming out of the shadows.
The two battlers stood opposite each other on the wide rock feild.
Refree: each trainer will use two pokemon each, only the challenger may make substitutions, begin.
Brock: go Geodued
Geodude: Geodued
Shadow: ok then, go Pikachu
Pikachu: Pika!
Brock: an electric type huh? not a very good choice against a rock type pokemon like Geodude
Shadow: we'll see
Brock: ok, Geodude! rollout attack.
Geodude curled into a ball and rolled at amazing speed towards Pikachu
Shadow: Dodge it by using Quick Attack
Pikachu sprang up in to the air, a glowing whitle line following from behind it jumping over geodude.
Brock: impressive, using the speed of quick attack to dodge the attack nice
Shadow: it takes more than type advantages to win a match
Brock: i see but lets see how long you can keep it up?, Geodude rebound of the wall.
Geodue hit the wall and bounced back while still using rollout, it hit pikachu hard.
Pikachu fell to the floor but was ok to battle on.
Shadow: Pikachu, use Quick Attack again.
Pikachu dashed towards geodude
Brock: same move? ok then, Geodude! rollout-
Shadow: use iron tail pikachu
Pikachu: Pika!
Pikachu's tail glowed white, he span around and clashed with geodude's rollout attack and beat it, geodude fell to the floor fainted.
Brock: Geoudude return.

Continued.
Brock withdrew Geodude and sent out a massive Onix
Onix: Roar!
Shadow: Pikachu its dangerous for you to gon, so come back here and great job on the Geodude.
Pikachu: Pika Pika
Pikachu heads back beside shadow, he threw another poke ball and this time it was Squirtle.
Squirtle: Squir
Brock: interesting match-up, but as you said, it takes more than type advantage to win a battle.
Brock: Onix, use Double-Edge.
Onix glowed white and charged towards Squirtle.
Shadow: Dodge it Squirtle.
Squirtle waited to the last second, jumped and then span around the glowing Onix.
shadow: Great job buddy, now usewater gun.
Squrtlie opend his mouth, a blast of water came from it and hit the Onix badly because rock were weak against water type moves.
shadow: good work now use Rapid spin go!.
Squirtle went in to his shell and span in a semmi Circle towards Onix.
Brock: Onix use screech
Onix opend its large mouth, blue and white soundwaves came frome it, knocking Squirtle flying into a rock.
shadow: Squirtle no, are you ok buddy?.
Squirtle managed to get up and nodded,
Brock: Onix give it a nice big slam
Onix's tail glowed white and he frose it into the air and slammed it down hard on Squirtle.
Squirtle: Squirtle Squir-
shadow: Squirtle, use bubblebeam!
Squirtle opend its mouth again and a jet of bubbles emmited from his mouth and hit Onix in the face who mannaged to recover and strike back with a Double-edge, both pokemon were tired and exhausted.
Brock: Onix hang in there, use slam
Onix slammed down on squirtle with its tail again, squirtle was knocked back but got back up again, and suddendly began to glow.
Brock: hmm? whats this?
shadow: wow squirtle's evolving.
Wortortle: Wortortle.
shadow: wow a Wortortle
Brock: hmm it seems like you've caught a second wind, very well onix, finish it with Double edge go!.
Onix Glowed white again and charged towards the newly evolved Wortortle.
shadow: Wortortle dodge it and then we'll finish this up with Water Gun.
Wortortle spun dodged the attack and countered with a powerful blast of Water from its mouth, hitting Onix and causing it to fall on the ground fainted.
Referee: Brock's pokemon are unable to battle, and the winner is, Shadow1212 from Pallet town.
Shadow: yeah wahooo, go Wortortle.
Wortortle and shadow hugged eachother.
Pikachu also joined in
Outside.
Brock: that was an exciting battle you three, and now i proudly give you the Boulder badge.
The badge was shaped like a small boulder and looked like a pokeball outline.
shadow: alright, i gotttt a Boulder Badge.
Wortortle: Wortortle wor
Pikachu: Pika pika.
Shadow return's Wortortle to its poke ball and him and pikachu walked happily to the pokemon centre to heal up and then continue on their journey.

Brock: ok, go geodude
D-alright, go ratata

D-ratty, dodge and use pound
B-geodude, now grab ratty and use self destruct,
Ref both pkmn are unable to battle,
B-go onix
D-GO bulbasaur
D bulby use leech seed
B onix look out
D good job now use razor leaf
B no!
D great now… huh?
Bulbasaur: bulba!
D-wow! okay use solar beam!!!!!
B no onix
BOOM
the smoke clears
ref, bulbasaur is the winner
D-yeah I won my first badge
B good job, now I guesse ur up teuber

T now while onix is confused, jump out of the ground behind him and use flame wheel. FULL POWER!

After both earning their first badges, both drake and teuber are closer to the Indigo Plateu than ever before, as the headed of towards mt moon, where another challenge waited for them.

Karthik walk in and spot Brock. Karthik battles first. Brock: Go Geodude! Karthik: Go Pikachu!! Brock( with look of delight on his face): Geodude, use Rollout!
