Senji healed his Pokemon one more time and ran to the next City

[Kathy]

Kathy and her friends entered the nice and big city, "Come on!!" Kathy raced across the city to the Pokemon Center. The place was crowded, and it was hard to get around. In the Pokemon center, Nurse Joy was busy with lots of people, and Kathy could see a lot of people's Pokemon hurt and were defeated...by who? Kathy smiled and walked up to Nurse Joy, who was busy with some other Pokemon, nodded quickly and turned back to her work. Kathy sighed, "Well, let's go," After exiting the Center, Kathy went exploring the city. There was a Pokemon Fan Club and of course, the gym. Kathy could almost taste victory. John ran up the street, "I'm gonna visit my buddy, kay Kath!!" Kathy nodded, Kath was her new nickname. Hubert giggled, "Kath, I love that!" Kathy gave him a sharp glare then frowned. The wind bristled then gray clouds loom above, "We in for a down pour," she heard Hubert say, slightly. Kathy gave him a low nod. They found the Pokemon Center again, to find it more crowded. Kathy hesitated and turned around, "We'll never make that," Hubert followed, "Come on, let's find a house to stay in," The house that they found was gloomy and right smack in one of the city's corners. The inside was worst. Kathy frowned, "I don't like this," Hubert gave her a firm look, "Well, it beats running for shelter out there," Suddenly, a deep and sorrow voice came from the shadows, "Welcome children..." Kathy flinched. Hubert stepped back a foot. The voice called again, and it was closer, "Well, certainly quiet," Kathy gave Hubert a look and spoke, "We...uh...are caught in the...storm...and found this...place...to...uh...to..." Kathy couldn't finish it, as if all of her confidence has drained out of her, but the voice completed it, "...stay. Well, if you are going to stay...then we battle first," The voice was confident and Kathy flinched once more. Hubert took three steps, "I'll challenge you!!" Kathy froze, "You sure...I don't think this is gonna be a friendly battle," Hubert ignored her, "A fine young man," Then a human dressed in black, cloaked all the way came out of the shadows, "We'll battle out back," Hubert threw a PokeBall, "Ditto, I need you!" "Ditto!" Kathy forced a smile, with Ditto, she knew Hubert could win. The cloaked person threw out a Ball, "Hunter!" "Hunter..." the Hunter hit Ditto with a Confusion unexpectedly, "Shadow Ball!" Hunter then released a purple and black sphere at Ditto and it fainted. Hubert's mouth dropped open and Kathy stared, amazed. The man laughed bitterly, "Your Ditto is weak!!" Kathy jumped beside Hubert, "Then beat me!!" The man laughed sourly, "Okay kid, what ever you say. If you lose this, both of you are giving me some money and a Pokemon!!" Hubert gasped, "What??!!" The man sort of nodded and Hunter floated beside him, "Yes, stubborn child..." Kathy took in, "Then...if I win, then what?" Kathy gave the strange man a heavy look. The man laughed sourly again, "This will never happen, but oh well, an Egg...and a weak Pokemon!!" Hubert frowned, but Kathy stopped him, "Alright, we have a deal!!" Hubert dully glared at Kathy, dumbstruck, "You are CRAZY!!" Kathy nodded, "Oh well." then took out a ball, "Go Smokey!!" Smokey came out of the ball and cried proudly. Kathy manage a smile, "Flamethrower!!" Smokey sent a stream of flames at Hunter and hit. Hunter fought back with confusion, "Smokey, Fire Spin!!" With a shrill cry, Smokey wrapped Hunter in hot flames, "Hunter, Shadow Ball!" Kathy flinched, this was the attack that hit Ditto out. She glanced at Ditto in Hubert's arms, shivering, "Smokey, fly!" Smokey unfolded it's wings, but it was too late and the sphere was thrown to Smokey with strong force. Kathy could see Smokey struggling to get up, "Come on, we can't let this dude take our Pokemon!!" Smokey manage to get up, but was weak, That thing is strong!! "Another Shadow Ball!" Kathy turned to see Hunter lunging for another Shadow Ball, to end this battle...

Hubert watched fearfully as Kathy battled against this unknown trainer, or was he? His Ditto fainted after two attacks!! How stupid he was, not attacking when he got the chance. Now, they were in a tight spot. Hubert sighed, "I could have known better," Now, if Kathy lose, which is a 99%, he will lose a Pokemon, a Pokemon he has worked hard to care for. He'd understand why this place is a shadow, know one wants to have their Pokemon taken. He turned back to the field, just in time to see Hunter release another strong Shadow Ball at Smokey...

The sphere came closer and closer, and within a split second, Kathy could see nothing but smoke. Kathy fell to her knees, she..had lost. Suddenly, the wind swirled around her and the smoke cleared, and Smokey was dancing with the wind. Kathy smiled, "Alright Smokey!! You made it!!" Hubert let out a cheer as well as Ditto and Bolt, who watched silently during the battle. Kathy gave Smokey a nod and unfolded it's wing and dive towards Hunter, who was surprised as well as it's trainer. Hunter fainted and Smokey banked by some dead flowers, "Alright!! You did it again Smokey!!" Kathy gave it a pat and fed him some Pecha berries. Kathy turned back to the man, who was just returning his Hunter. He took off his coat and took out another ball. Kathy was surprised to see him as an old man, but why would he want Pokemon? The old man smirked, "Here's your weakling," A breathless and hungry looking Bulbasaur came out of the ball. The man hurried inside. Kathy gave him a sharp look and focused on the poor Bulbasaur, "That dude hasn't been taking care of this Pokemon at all!!" The old man came back with a small Egg, "Now get otta here!!" Kathy carefully picked up Bulbasaur and placed the Egg inside her bag and left with Hubert smirking at the man.

Kathy pushed through the crowd, needing to reach Nurse Joy. The other people frowned at her, but she didn't mind. Everything was on Bulbasaur. When she reached to be the first one in line, pushing a girl about her age out of the way, Nurse Joy stopped everything and called on Chansey, "That thing...it's old Mr.Hypercoff's Pokemon right? " Hypercoff? He must be that man!! Kathy frowned at the name, but Nurse Joy was already taking Bulbasaur for it's treatment.

After a few minutes, a DING DONG rang in her ears, she sat up and glanced around, unaware of where she was. Then, her eyes flashed: Bulbasaur. She glanced around the Center, and could see the place was a little less crowded, this is good. Nurse Joy came to greet her, your Bulbasaur is doing fine, here," she gave Kathy a Blue with two red streaks on it, "Bulbasaur's Ball," Kathy took the ball and gratefully thanked Nurse Joy. She took out some berries while Nurse Joy went back to her work and Hubert eating his soup. Kathy smiled as she took hold of the ball again, "Come on out Bulbasaur," The sad and miserable Bulbasaur, now a cheerful and jumpy one, came out of it's ball and started munching on the berries. Kathy smiled, "Thank goodness you are okay," Bulbasaur smiled back and hopped on her lap. It's getting to know me! She left Bulbasaur to play with Bolt while she was on her PC. She gave Pro. Oak Dragoon so he could study it. After Kathy got her own bowl of soup and finished it, they headed off to explore the city together.
