After catching Gastly and evolving Mistcloud, all of Kathy's fear drowned out, "Come on, there's lots more Pokemon to see and trainers to beat!!" She just couldn't wait to stand up in the spotlight, fans all around her, but that's going to come after she has completed her mission, to be a Pokemon Master. Lots of females like to participate in Pokemon Contests, but not her! Just then, spunky looking kids came up to her, "You gonna be a master huh? Then beat us!!" Kathy smirked and glanced at John to see if he wanted to battle, "Sure," he replied back. Kathy smiled, "Okay, go Salty!!" John grabbed a ball from his backpack, "Go Plump!!" "Poli!" Kathy took out her Dex, "What's that?"
Its skin is so thin, its internal organs are visible. It has trouble walking on its newly grown feet.
"Great one John!" John smiled back. Two from the pack stepped up. kathy knew one was the leader and one was his partner. The both took out a ball, "Go, Magnet!" "Magemite!" "Go, Voltorb!" "Voltorb!" Kathy looked back at John, "Don't use water attacks just yet," she told him and he nodded, "Salty, Rapid Spin!!" "Squirtle!" "Plump use Bounce!" "Poli!"
The other two trainers acted quickly, and both demanded a Thunder Bolt from each one, "Magemite!!" "Voltorb!" They both released their attacks but Salty and Plump were too fast, and while dodging, they also hit the two confused electric Pokemon. Kathy nodded at John, "Salty, Tackle!" "Plump, Hypnosis!" Salty hit the Voltorb and it fainted, and Plump put Magemite to sleep. They had won. Kathy and John gave each a high-five. They other two looked angry, "Get 'em boys!!" The others of their gang threw out balls to the battlefield, "Go" "Come on!" "Beat 'em up!!" "Make 'em cry!" and when they finished throwing balls, there was a line of strong pokemon. Their leader snickered, "There's no way to win now!!" John called back, "You cheater!!" Kathy told him to hush and they will win, "Fine, you asked for it, go Smokey, Mistcloud!" Now her strong fighters were out. John had to smile, "Go, Slash, Claw!!" and John's favorite Pokemon, Scyther and Pinsir, were in the game too. The gang all laughed, "You think those things can beat us?" the leader called out. Kathy smiled back, "Yes, all, Tackle!!" Kathy's pokemon, along with John's, lunged forward and charged towards their foes.
A huge CLASH and BANG and WHAM took place and with the large cloud of smoke cleared, the gang Pokemon were settled to the floor, out of energy. They hasty returned it and ran off. John called at them, laughing, "Now that...was amazing!!"
