Harry smiled, and made his way up the Route. He was going to journey through Victory Road, then on to Indigo Plateau, ready for the Championships held there.
The sun was shining, and Harry was ready for anything.
He pushed open the door of the first building, trainer card at the ready.

Spar stopped before the large structure that laid before him. "Victory road...only the best of the best can get in. I'll need at least 8 badges to even make to the Indigo Plateau." Spar folded his arms and began tapping his foot, thinking about what challenges could possible await him. He currently had no badges at all. He knew he had a long way to go.
After a few seconds he grinned before reaching into his jacket. He produced a Pokeball before pressing it's center button and enlarging it. He tossed it to the ground and Bulbasaur emerged. It looked up at him, appearing to be grinning. It looked around, unaware of it's surroundings.
"Alright Bulbasaur. I know we just met and all, but for the sake of this journey I'm going to ask only one thing of you. Take a good look around. Until the day comes when we conquer this place, we both will give all we got to be the best we can be, deal? No matter how long it takes, we'll return here some day ready to win, got it?"
Bulbasaur seemed to agree, nodding in approval. Spar nodded as well, before cupping his chin, pondering where to begin training. He could not go any further forward, so he had no choice but to turn around and head back to Viridian before heading north into the Viridian forest. Before he had a chance, he and Bulbasaur were alarmed by the sound of grass rustling behind them. They both whirled around to find a Nidoran (M) meekly munching on some grass.
"Hmph. Must be my lucky day. Ready, Bulbasaur?"
"Bulba! Bulbasaur!"
Bulbasaur hopped forward ready for battle. Fortunately, Nidoran was still distracted by it's lunch. Spar pointed toward the small pink Pokemon, instructing Bulbasaur to attack. Spar had seen a Nidoran in battle once before and knew they could be dangerous, but he had confidence in Bulbasaur.
"Ok we've got the advantage here, but be careful. Those barbs on his body might poison you if your pricked, OK? Now then, let's see a Tackle!"
"Saur!"
Bulbasaur started forth toward Nidoran, ramming into head first. In doing so, Bulbasaur was inadvertently nicked by one of Nidoran's spikes, poisoning it immediately. Nidoran was left reeling from the strong physical attack it wasn't prepared for, taking critical damage. It slid back a few feet before it stopped. By then, Spar already had a spare Pokeball out, and had enlarged it.
"A direct hit! Radical. Now, go Pokeball!"
Spar threw the ball forward, causing it to arc in the air. It tapped the stunned Nidoran on the head before opening and pulling the wild pokemon inside in a red blaze. The ball fell to the ground and began rolling about. It stopped after a few seconds, causing Spar to sigh with relief. As he approached the Pokeball, he gasped when it started rolling again. It stopped once more, this time for good.
"Far out, Bulbasaur. We just caught a Nidoran!"
After picking up the pokeball, Spar whirled around, only then seeing how bad condition Bulbasaur was really in. He ran over to the down pokemon, examining it. It's breathing was labored and the poison was already weakening it drastically.
"Nidoran's poison...we have to get you to a Pokemon center, stat."
Scooping Bulbasaur into his arms, Spar ran off toward the City.

Zephur entered the Route and was ammediatly jumped by a duo of NidoranM. "Go, Charmander, Pidgey!" They were both released, ready for battle. "Charmander, Ember the one on the left! Pidgey, Tackle before Charmander uses Ember." Pidgey Tackles NidoranM 1, NidoranM 2 Tackles Pidgey, and poisons it. Charmander uses Ember and burns both NidoranM.
"Charmander, Use Ember on the Charmander behind the other one! Pidgey, dive down and attack the other NidoranM!"

Kano came running to Zephur. "Okay, we stay here, capture and knockout pokemon, then we go to Pewter City for Badges okay?" Said Kano

Kano was talking to Zephur, but then a Nidoran Level 5 came up to Kano. "Huh? Squirtle I choose you!" "Squirtle!!!" "Okay, Squirtle use bubble!" The bubble hit Nidoran dealing almost half damage. The Nidoran came running at Kano. "Squirtle! Dodge and use bubble!" The bubble hit Nidoran knocking it out. "Okay, Squirtle, return." The Squirtle was absorbed.

Spar followed closely behind Kano, watching his friends take on Nidoran respectively. As this was happening, he stumbled across a level 6 Mankey. He silently nodded to Bulbasaur and it stepped forth ready to battle.
"Bulbasaur, with feeling, use Tackle!"
Bulbasaur hit home with a critical tackle, nearly wiping out all of Mankey's HP. It fought back with scratch, but Bulbasaur managed to evade. It Tackled it once without Spar giving a command, finishing it off.
"Night too shabby Bulbasaur. But please, try and wait for my help next time, alright? How's it going for your guys?"

"I'm doing fine, I don't know about Zephur though." Another Mankey showed up, but it was level 7. "Pidgey! I choose you!" The Pidgey came out from the Pokeball. "Pidgey use Sand-Attack!" The attack hit the Mankey. It came back up with a tackle. "Pidgey! Dodge it, now hit it with a tackle ." The Pidgey dodged it and hit the Mankey with a tackle. The Mankey was knocked out. "Okay, Pidgey, return." "I'm going to the Pokemon Center. Be right back." Said Kano. (Moved to Viridian City)

Ding! "Yeah! I caught a Nidoran(M)! Oh, and yes, i'm doing fine, guys." |

Kano walked back, he then saw a Nidoran F Level 5. "Aaahaaaa!" Said Kano. "Squirtle! I choose you!" The Squirtle was released out of the Pokeball. "Squirtle use bubble." The bubble came straight at the Nidoran F it hit it. "Yeah Squirtle!" The Nidoran F came running in with a tackle. "Squirtle dodge!" Squirtle dodged it. "Now Squirtle, use tail whip" The tail whip hit Nidoran F knocking it out. "Squirtle return!" "Okay, time to capture, Pokeball! Go!
One...
Two...
Three...
..DING!
"Yeah!" Awsome!"

Zephur moved back, gonig to the Pokemon Center to heal his pokemon, when he was ambushed by a Lv. 4 Wild Mankey! Mankey used Low Kick on him and he tripped. "Go, Pidgey! Use Sand-Attack!" Pidgey came out and kicked dirt into Mankey's eyes, angering him. Zephur got up to his feet and go another pokeball out. "Pidgey, return." He put the pokeball on his belt. "Go, Charmander!" He threw Charmander's pokeball and real fight had begun.
"Charmander, Growl, then Scratch!" Charmander Growled at Mankey, lowering his guard. Then Charmander rushed at Mankey, and swiped him with Scratch. Then Mankey retaliated with Low Kick. Charmander fell off his feet. "Charmander, get up and use Ember, as best as you can!" Charmander got up quickly and blew flames at Mankey. The Mankey got burned and fell down and twitched a little. "Okay, Pokeball, go!" Mankey kicked the pokeball away, and Zephur quickly picked it up. The Mankey got away with scorch marks all over him. "Aww, man... Well, good job, Charmander." He returned Charmander into his pokeball and walked into Viridian City. (Moved to Viridian City)

Barbie was flying on dragonair. She landed right near Kano and the others. She never saw the city that much the first time around. She kept dragonair out. She looked at kano and others." How weak."

"Wow, what's that?" He pulled out his pokedex and it read aloud. "Dragonair, the Dragon pokemon. If it's body takes on an aura, the weather changes instantly. It is said to live in seas and lakes." Zephur smiled. "Wow, that is cool! Do you have other pokemon?" Zephur turned and sent out all of his pokemon. "Come on out, Charmander, Pidgey, and Nidoran!" The pokemon came out of their pokeballs. Zephur got food out of his bag and gave each pokemon food. "You know, we could use a break from training. How about it, Spar and Kano?" Zephur sat down and pulled out a sandwich and started eating.
