Professor Oak's Lab

The Professor leant back in his chair, savoring what little free time he had left. He scratched his graying hair and looked through the window. New trainers would be coming soon for their first starter Pokemon, and it was a lot of work for Oak. Charmanders, Bulbasaurs and Squirtles were being passed around, and Oak knew that today would be especially busy.

Oak picked up a notebook bound in a soft leather cover and written in with a blue fountain pen. Oak looked at the trainer entries to see who had visited recently for their first Pokemon:

He smiled to himself, and called Tracy.

Tracy appeared moments later.

"Oh, Tracy? Make sure the baby Pokemon are fed." Oak said, getting up. "I'll get the vitamins," he said happily, and wandered off to the store cupboard. The trainers would be coming any minute now.

Ground Rules:

1. Only a Charmander, a Bulbasaur or a Squirtle may be chosen. If you ask for a Pikachu or such, your request will be either deleted or ignored.

2. You must Role-Play. You must, at the minimum, write, "John walked in and said, "Professor, can I have a Pokemon?" You cannot write, "can i have a pokemon?" or, 'how do you get a pokemon.' If you do not, your request might be deleted.

3. Do not under any circumstances steal a Pokeball or do something extremely Marty Stu. geocities.com/fallfromharmony/roleplayhelp for reference. No rolling in dramatically, not being noticed, or stealing a Pokeball. You start out as a Trainer who really is not amazingly acrobatic or is the President. You are a trainer.

4. Wait for a Aide to give you a Pokeball!!

Dark stood outside of Professor Oak's research office place. Already he was being stupid, unsure of what to call the building. No matter... softly he lifted his hand to the door and rapped on it rather loudly, leaving his knuckles stinging. Not that he cared... he was way too excited to be getting his first pokemon to care much.

Gabe, what is that supposed to mean? Is that mock insult or genuine humor? I'm not sure what to think of your post. Btw, I deleted it, because you aren't supposed to post unnecessarily. Sorry, but that's how it rolls.

BIC:

Professor Oak looked down at his watch and exclaimed, "Ooh, Satoshi, I'm sorry, but I have to go put the baby Pokemon to bed. Here, my aide will assist you." The Professor ran out of the room and a geeky-looking Aide approached Satoshi. "Here you go, a baby Charmander." The Aide handed Satoshi the Pokeball, smiled, and walked over to the other trainer.

"Hello, what's your name? Are you here for a Pokemon?"

[Dark Slayer]

"Oh, hi. My name's Dark. Dark Slayer. And yeah, I'm here for a pokemon... if I'm not too late of course. Nurse Joy told me I wasn't... but... you never know." He looked at the Aide anxiously. "You must be one of Professor Oak's assistants. I hope I'm not here at an inconvenient time."

"Not at all," The Aide said with a smile, "So, what Pokemon did you want anyways?"

[Dark Slayer]

Dark let himself relax a bit. "Okay, well I've always been around water my whole life and that's my favorite kind of pokemon. So I really want a Squirtle. If I may of course." He followed the Aide inside so that way he wouldn't have to walk all the way back to the door with the pokemon.

"Hmm..." The Aide said, "You're just in time. This little guy is our feisty one of the group, and will sure be brightening up your day." The Aide grabbed a polished ball off the rack and handed it to Dark, a smile lighting up on his face. "You will do great with this fellow. Good luck on your journey, Dark Slayer." The Aide smiled, shook Dark's hand, and walked off, attending to other trainers, but not forgetting the impression the teen had made on him.

[Dark Slayer]

Dark grinned, happy to get the pokemon he wanted and nearly jumped up and down. "Thank you so much. Tell Professor Oak that I said hi and thanks for his offer to all of us new trainers!"

With that, Dark turned around and ran out the door with his Squirtle in his hand, the card, now with his name and everything on it, and a Pokedex. His dreams were starting to come true...

Ashly walked in she was late. For she a bump in the road and it toke her abit longer to get there then everbody else. Ashly walked into the proffesser's door and siad"Hello Proffesser Oak umm I am here for my first Pokemon.. Wait? am I even at the right spot?" Ashly looked around bit of lost like she entered the worng door,, She has been doing that lately in this town.

With her mother's old pack and an unlaminated trainer's card in hand, Meaghan made her way towards the legendary Oak Labs. She looked down at the new card, silently pondering the still damp ink as she let out a long breath, regarding the doors in front of her like some giant castle gates.

"Well... this is it... don't chicken out now." The girl muttered to herself as she put hand to handle and made her way inside. "Hello?" She asks, eyes spying one of the aides nearby to whom she asks further, "...I was told this is where to come for a first Pokemon?"

Oak returned to the door, the baby Pokemon sound asleep.

"Ah, hello there!" He said. The trainer asked about the right door.
"Yes, yes come in. I assume you are here for a Pokemon. Which would you like?"

Meanwhile...

The Aide smiled. "You're quite right. Come in and pick a Pokemon." He said, showing her in.

Meaghan stood, pondering her choices carefully.

Fire... water...grass...

Each one equally strong, yet equally weak too - which would be best for her?

"I think a Bul--...no, wait... a charmander. Yes! Definitely a charmander, please." Said the girl to the aide with a grin wide on her face. "It's so busy, I hope you still have one."

[Harry Dark]

The Aide smiled, and got a Pokeball containing a Charmander.

"Here you are, take good care of him." He said, signing her trainer card.

"Ummm... can I have a charamander."Ashly got up and got ready for anything.
