This is a short course, with no diving. A simple race to the finish.

Diamond was not nervous. Diamond was ready for the race. He saw all the other racers. He knew they had no chance. He prepared himself as the were about to start the first round race.

The Judge, a Salamence, waited until all the racers were ready before starting the race. He could fly faster and go quicker to the finish that all the racers, and could sort out any problems.

Fragrant leaves rustled, a fresh maple aroma filling the air. A soft breeze pushed to the West, with the sun being mild and temperate. Distant clinking was heard...
A small Meowth was at the end of the line, who was muttering something in what seemed to be Italian. "*I am Gypsy Mysticfeather, wanderer of the East and West." Gypsy was fixing her multiple gold bracelets, her headband swirling with bright colors. Gypsy smiled and affixed a gold earring onto her left ear, then stood up and swished her sash in a dramatic way. Gypsy walked up to the middle of the starting line and looked around before nodding. This race looked like fun.

Marlin was prepared for anything.He's pretty fast for a fish.Others say he goes 35 miles per hour,which was true.He had been waiting for this moment.

Kano was ready for the race. He was doing exersises, he knew he was fast. He began to remember his first race. "Hey you, yeah you that Vaporeon! Get over here and race with us, your are gonna lose big time" Said a Persian. The race started, Kano the Vaporeon was in last. But then, his great speed made him go faster and he went past Persian in first place, then, he was behind the finish line, sitting there for a have an hour, that's how fast it was. Kano thought back, then he snapped out of it, and the race was about to begin.

Dash was ready to race. Many pokemon had thought that he was the fastest so that is why he decided to race. He remembered his first race. In it he never came behind 1st - Always in the lead. The race count down started when he stopped thinking about his first race.

A flame flickered, A small lizard stepped up, he was a charmander, he had trained his life for this and was going to win!

The Salamence held up it's wing, at the drop of it the race would begin.
3... The Kecleon who was helping was still red, and all the racers were raring to go.
2... The Kecleon turned amber, signalling that the race was about to begin.
1... The Kecleon prepared to turn green, and Salamence was about to drop the wing.

Salamence dropped it's wing, Kecleon turned green and the Pokemon with the fastest reactions set off first, the race was very short, the slightest slip could cost any Pokemon the race.
Salamence flew up into the air, to watch the race and see who won.

Dash just kept running. He kept to the inner side of the path and passed the first few checkpoints. Then he did a turn and kept running. He was now in the lead after having a quick reaction. He passed a few more checkpoints and then he went off the path and into the grass.

The charmander was shocked by the quick start and zoomed ahead and flew threw the checkpoints. He saw the Pikachu a few metres ahead and sped up the pace becoming metres in front the Pikachu. Charmander turned the corner and and saw the finish line charmander powered ahead.

Dash raced into the grass and into the forest. Dash tripped on a rock and fell over. By the time he got up he was 3rd. Dash just kept on running and soon became 2nd again. When he had passed the 2nd person he said "Sorry but I plan on winning this race so that I can get lots of points quickly and then I can win." He saw Charmander and said "Hey Charmander! You’re a good racer. I've never seen someone as good as you." Dash then dashed and caught up with Charmander and Dash went really fast.

When the race started Diamonf flew off. Diamond was sure to win the race or get second place.Diamond was the only pokemon that culd fly giving it an advantage. Diamond kept flapping its wings.Delibird soon saw a charmander."Delibi!You pokemon arent meant for racing. Delibi!Hahaha!" Delibird kept flapping its wings harder trying to pass them.

Charmander flew ahead spotting the finish line and sprinting towards it.
